Epilogue

AJ's eyes open to the sounds of U2's With or Without You. He slowly rises to his feet and see's a big bright blue sky and the brightest sun. He notices a pathway covered with soft green grass. He follows it until he reaches a nearby lake. He slowly walks toward it and kneels down at the edge.

  He looks down and see's his reflection in the water. His face is healed perfect restored with no scars or burns. He closes his eyes and when he opens then his reflection stays the same. He tilts his head onto his chest and smiles.

  He stands up and starts to explore the area that surrounds him. He see's a peaceful oasis beds of red roses, tiger lilies, sunflowers, and dandelions. The aurora of what he see's gives a sense or pure tranquility. He walks through the flowers with his arms spread and eyes to the floor. He takes in the sweet ambiance of the oasis.

  He continues walking seeing a trees covered in bright green leaves. However his smile and happiness quickly start to fade away. While he enjoys this oasis something in his heart is missing. He still longs for Lucy wishing she was with him. He looks at out the corner of his eye and see's movement in the bushes. He walks through the bushes and see's nothing but a path.

  He walks the path until he see's a swing covered in Spanish moss. He goes toward it and see's a picture of Lucy. He flips the photo and see's a quote.

  "Love you always and forever baby!"

  His lower lip subtlety quivers and tears slow stream down his eyes. He kisses the photo and buries his face into it. He then whispers to himself. He hears the lyrics to the song as he mourns.

🎶 Through the storm, we reach the shore
You give it all but I want more
And I'm waiting for you🎶

"I miss you, so much."

  Sadness overcomes him the happiness he felt was brief and joyful. He sits on the swing and just stares at the photo. The only way can see her is through his memories but he misses her touch, her voice, her presence. He gets up from the swing and he just stares into the warm sun.

Lucy: "Mr. AJ Legend! what took you so long?"

He turns around and he see's Lucy wearing a sparkling purple gown. Her face is all healed up she looks as beautiful as ever. At first he's in disbelief and thinks that his mind is tricking him. He closes his eyes for a moment thinking she'll be gone. He opens them then and still stands right before him.

Lucy cries with happiness at seeing AJ for the first time in a very longtime. He puts his hand on her cheek and wipes her tears away. He looks deep into her eyes and gives a smile. He gently puts his hands around her waist and they both passionate kiss. He hugs her ever so tightly as they watch the sunset over the oasis.
