New Entry.. 2

ETHAN

I love Emma like a sister. She's my closest friend. So coming here only for 2 days just to spend time with her is worth it.
We were in the middle of pillow fight when her foot slipped and she lost her balance. I immediately brought my hands to steady her. The same time the door opened and there stood a guy throwing daggers at me. His jaw was clenched and eyes narrowed at my hands which were holding Emma or more like steadying her.

The moment I saw him I knew he had hots for Emma. He was good in the looks department too. But I was getting player vibes from him. Don't get me wrong, even I am a player but Emma is like my sister and I don't want her to be used. Well let's face it, this is what we players do. We use girls and then move to the next one.
Although I can sense that he didn't want to use Emma,I have to be confirmed. So why not test him and have some fun? I grinned mischievously.

A sound broke me out of my thoughts. I looked towards the guy to see he had snapped off the doorknob. Whoa!
He really is pissed. " Aren't you strong? " I asked him sarcastically. This seem to snap him out of his daze and he entered the room. Let's the fun begin.

Emma got out of my hold and introduced him. " Ethan he's Ashton my project partner and Ashton he's my childhood friend Ethan. " I put my one arm around Emma's shoulder and other to shake hands with Ashton. He was full too glaring at me while he shook hands with me. I even noticed that his grip was far too tight for a friendly handshake. I was loving riling him up.

" What is he doing here Em?" He asked to Emma. Em? Wow. Emma never liked anyone giving her a nick name. So I wonder how this guy got away with it. This means only one thing that even my sweet Emma seems to like him. Well then! I would love to play cupid.

" He lives in another state, he came to visit me. He will be going back tomorrow. " Emma answered him. I didn't fail to notice how after hearing the last part he visibly relaxed. I was laughing from inside. He thinks that I like Emma. He doesn't know that she's like my sister to me. I was bubbling with joy.

" Yeah sad right? Only 2 days I got to spend with Emma. But then to I enjoy spending time with Emma. And today we made our most of time by hanging and visiting around different places. Right Emma? " I knew the moment I said that today whole morning and afternoon Emma spent with me will make him angry and he didn't disappoint me.

" So that's why you didn't came to school " he said to Emma or more like accused. Emma just shrugged and said, " Well my best friend is more important to me than missing one day in school. " these words couldn't have made me more happy.
If I didn't know better I would have said that even Emma is trying to make him jealous but I know better than that.

Ashton seems to be disappointed. I could see the sadness in his eyes. I didn't want him to feel bad so I changed the topic and told them weren't they here to finish there project. These seem to remind them and they started working on it. I excused myself to give them a private moment. Nah. Don't think my plan stopped here only. I am just giving them some time to warm up to each other after I put my plan into action. So I left the room and closed the door behind me leaving it open just a bit for me to hear what are they conversing.

" You never told me you had a best friend other than Jenny. " Ashton accused Emma. I can detect a bit of hurt in his tone.
" You never told me that you were planning to do ashley yesterday. " she bit back. Oh! Emma has sass! " Look why are we even discussing this, we are here to do project so let us do it. We have to finish it today anyhow for us to submit it
tomorrow. " Emma said in a tired tone.
" Yeah let's do it " Ashton said irritated.

I went down in the hall to see Lisa cooking in the kitchen. I went towards her and said ," Lisa do you have Emma's baby pictures in which I am also there?" She was thinking and then suddenly said " Oh yeah! I know where I kept them, follow me. " I grinned and followed her to the store room. I just love Lisa. She's not your typical mom. She's damn cool. She opened a cupboard which was in the far end of the room and from second shelf removed 2 albums. She gave it to me and said " These are the albums of her around age 5 and when you were living next to us so I guess there will be your pics also in these. " I thanked her and kissed her on the cheek before going up in Emma's room. Time to set plan in the motion.

I slowly opened the door to see that Emma was blushing and Ashton was smirking. I guess they made up while I was gone. As soon as Ashton saw me the smirk left his face replaced by a cold look while Emma was smiling warmly at me.

" I hope I am not disturbing you guys" I told them while entering the room and closing the door behind me. While Emma said ' of course not ' Ashton muttered ' yup you are '. If I wasn't standing beside Ashton I might have not heard it. This only made me more happy.

" Emma I am going tomorrow and all are you doing is project. " I complained.
Ashton simply glared at me whereas Emma guiltily said sorry. " OK forget it, look what I have here " I told them while remove albums from behind me. Emma's eyes widened as she recognized the albums while Ashton appeared confused.
" Ethan no" Emma warned me while trying to snatch the albums from me. The key word ' trying '. I already predicted her this move and stood up and ran to the other side of the room while she trying to catch me. " Ashton catch Emma. " He didn't understand why I was saying it but then to he grabbed her waist and was holding her from behind. " What's happening? " Ashton asked. " These are the baby pictures of Emma." I replied while grinning. Soon a cocky smirk appeared on his face and he understood what I meant.

After Emma promised that she's not gonna snatch the albums again Ashton reluctantly left her. I knew he was enjoying holding Emma close to him. We all sat down with the albums in center.

I was enthusiastically showing Emma's baby pictures to Ashton. He too was enjoying it. Seeing Emma's embarrassment only heightened our fun.
But whenever there was a pic of me with Emma, Ashton's smile gets wiped off. I even saw him clenching his jaw when there were two pics,one in which I was kissing Emma on the cheek and in other Emma was kissing my cheek. My my ! This guy is damn jealous. I mean common we were 5 years old. But I knew he really likes her. To get jealous of a boy when he was 5 years old you must really like the girl. At that moment I knew he is the right guy for Emma and even Emma likes him.

The only downfall is they both are unaware of their feelings or they don't wanna admit it. I would bet 50-50 on both.
My work's done here. I am really happy for Emma. Now whatever has to be done has to be done by them only. Sooner or later they are gonna end up together, I know it.

After enjoying Emma's baby pics and completing their project Ashton stood up to go to home. He reluctantly shook my hand. I knew he disliked me coz he's jealous but this jealousy will only be the push he requires to man up and admit his feelings.
He turned towards Emma and hugged her and I can see that Emma was surprised but she hugged him back. He left after that.

Well today's day was quite eventful. After he left we had dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed having dinner with Emma's family. They all are so grounded and cool. I just love these guys. I went to sleep in my room then.

My home, here I come...
