Fallout.. 2

I have been very anxious today. This nagging feeling that something's bad gonna happen is not leaving me. Even after Em told me to not worry I couldn't help the concern that washed over me.

Today is the big match. This match helds a lot of importance in my life. I am not at all worried about winning because I am confident enough that we are only gonna win as we all practised pretty hard for this match.

We were all lined up with me standing in the front being the captain and Jake behind me. The whistle sound blew off indicating our entry.

We all began to walk out. As I entered the field, I saw a familiar figure with brown hair running over to me. I squinted my eyes to see who she is. My eyes widened when I saw Em running over to me with full speed. I was shocked to see her on the field and why was she looking so panicked?

I didn't have time to think before I was shoved to the ground by Em and at the same time a scream was heard.

I froze. I looked up at Em to see her eyes widened and realized she was the one who was screaming. Her hands flew her to back and when she brought her hands back they had blood on it.

I quickly stood up as she began to fall and held her before she fell.
" Em, Em what happened to you?" I shouted. I was scared shitless.

I don't know what was happening at all. Everyone were gathered around us. Em was trying to say something. I leaned in to hear what she was saying.

" Chec- check my cell phone. Check my cel- cell phone. I love you Ash. " and then my heart stopped when she fell unconscious. " Em,Em" I shouted panicked but she didn't get up.

I hurriedly picked her up bridal style and ran out of the field just in time to see the ambulance coming. Jake and Jenny were beside me in instant. " I- I called the ambulance." Jenny said while sobbing. I couldn't really blame her. Even my eyes were getting teary. I blinked back my tears as I need to focus on Em right now.

I quickly put Em on the stretcher and got inside the ambulance. Nothing mattered to me right now. I can hear my aunt calling me from my behind but I could care less right now. I just want my Em to be safe.

Jake and Jenny were following behind us in his car. I was holding Em's hand tightly and was continuously pleading for her to wake up. " Don't leave me Em. Plzz don't leave me. You promised me that you would take care of yourself Em. I can't live without you Em. I beg you. " I whispered to her while finally tears started falling from my eyes.

After 10 minutes we reached the hospital and they quickly carried her in the operation room. I was also about to enter when one of the nurses stopped me. " God damn it! Let me go! That's my girlfriend inside. " I shouted at her. " I am sorry sir but you are not allowed to enter. Let us do our job. " she said calmly while pushing me outside and locking the door going in.

I punched the wall beside me and slid down to the ground holding my head in my hands. " Ashton " someone shouted. I looked up to see a disheveled Jenny and Jake running to me.

" What happened?" Jenny asked me. " I don't know what actually happened. She ran to me and pushed me to the ground and then she suddenly screamed. And when I asked her what happened she said to check her cell phone and then- wait!" My eyes widened when I realised what I said.

" What?" Jenny asked but I ignored her and removed Em's cell phone from my shorts pocket. " She said to check her cell phone. " I repeated. All this while Jake was comforting Jenny and once again I was reminded of Em.
