It has been nearly a week since the Curse had been lifted and it's been hard for Josephine. She had to accept the fact that Jack was going to do die once they set foot on Port Royal, endure her father's incessant rambling about Charlie and the awkward tension between Will and herself. There was also Will not once looking at Josephine when they boarded the Dauntless and when they arrived at Port Royal in fact he distanced himself from Josephine thinking that was the best solution but it wasn't; it just made it harder for Will to forget about her.

It was broad daylight as Josephine stood between Elizabeth and Charlie looking at Jack as he waited to be hung with a stoic expression.

"Jack Sparrow, you have been charged with,—"

"Captain Jack Sparrow." Jack corrected on instinct.

The man continued as if he wasn't interrupted, "tried and convicted for your willful commission of crime against the crown, said crime being in quantity and sinister in nature, the most egregious of these to be cited herewith; piracy, smuggling..." Amongst the crowd Will had snuck in, he glanced at Jack than peered over at Josephine.

Josephine watched with sorrowful eyes, "This is wrong." She thought out loud.

"Commodore Norrington is bound by the law as are we all." Weatherby stated.

"...impersonating an officer of the Spanish Royal Navy, impersonating a cleric of the Church of England, sailing under false colors, arson, kidnapping, looting, poaching, brigandage, pilfering, depravity, depredation, and general lawlessness." The man continued to read. Will turned his head to see Cotton's parrot which was the signal for him to execute his plan.

"And for these crimes, you have been sentenced to be, on this day, hung by the neck until dead." The man looked at Jack, "May god have mercy on your soul."

Josephine held her breath at the sight of Will, wanting to be mad at him but couldn't find it in herself to do so.

"Governor. Commodore. Elizabeth. Lieutenant." Will greeted. His eyes moved to the woman he longed for, "Josephine." He breathed.
"I should have told you every day from the moment I met you. I love you." Will confessed, his heart ponding against his chest. Josephine's face softened, she could feel butterflies in her stomach and her heart racing per second.

Josephine watched Will turn around and make his way through the crowd, she felt her hand being squeezed causing her to look down than at Elizabeth in confusion. Elizabeth gave her a look as she subtly gestured with her head tilting to the right, Josephine looked to see Cotton's parrot flying away.

"Marines." Norrington said as he stepped down the steps with Weatherby and Charlie. The sisters exchanged looks of panic, trying to think of a distraction.

"I can't breathe." Josephine and Elizabeth gasped as they simultaneously fell. Norrington, Weatherby and Charlie stopped, swiftly turning to the "unconscious" girls.
