Josephine, Elizabeth and Jack walked towards the island, all soaked from swimming. They turned around and stared at the fleeting ship in silence.
"That's the second time I've watched that man sail away with my ship." Jack murmured. Josephine stared at him in pity, she turned her head and saw Elizabeth walking away. Knowing it was pointless to search the island, Josephine walked a little further away from the water and sat on the sand, pulling her knees up to her chest and placing her head on them. Hearing someone sit next to her, didn't make Josephine look up knowing it was Jack. They said nothing as Jack fiddled with his gun.
"Jack, tell me the truth." Josephine muttered as a thought popped into her head.
"About what?"
"Is Lorenzo Jones my father?" Jack paused his actions processing Josephine's question.
"How would I know that?"
"You just confirmed it and all the hints I've been getting; When we were commandeering the Interceptor—you asked about my blood parents, Lorenzo asked about my necklace and something my mother said to me, "...you have your father's determination." From the stories I've read, Lorenzo's determination is equally matched to mine." Josephine told him.
"Looks like you and Will have a lot in common." Jack mused which made Josephine narrow her eyes at him before laying her head back on her knees.
"It's really not all that big, is it?" Jack spoke up after sometime, Josephine lifted her head and saw her sister was back staring at Jack. Looking back at Jack, memories resurfaced which made her scoff as she stood up and went by her sister's side, shaking her head at him.
Jack stopped and looked at Josephine, "Is there a problem between us, Miss Smith?" He asked, confused.
"You were going to tell Barbossa about Will in exchange for a ship." Josephine hissed.
"We could use a ship." Jack pointed out, gesturing around the island. "But the fact is I was going to not tell Barbossa about bloody Will in exchange for a ship because as long as he didn't know about bloody Will—I had something to bargain with which now no one has. Thanks to bloody Will." He told her.
Feeling embarrassed as she watched Jack stand up, "Oh." Josephine muttered.
"Oh." Jack repeated, looking at her.
"He still risked his life to save ours." Elizabeth piped up.
"Ha!" Jack exclaimed, walking away from them. Josephine and Elizabeth exchanged looks before running to catch up to him.
"So we have to do something to rescue him." Josephine asserted.
Jack turned around and waved his hands, "Off ya go than. Let me know how that turns out." He quipped with a smile before strutting away.
