I can definitely see how this one happens. Trying to spell definitely phonetically (depending on your accent) is one misplaced letter away from defiantly.
Defiantly is the do something in a manner that is resistant to authority or orders/instructions.
Ex: "She looked him in eyes defiantly, refusing to back down."
Definitely describes an event that is certain or near certain.
Ex: "We studied together last night for the test; you're fine, you'll definitely do well."
