In the morning that followed after a not so well goodnight sleep, however better then I expected to get we continued to walk on, until we'd came across the last known place we would've seen Sid with the dinosaur family around dinner time when they had been arguing about what to serve the baby dinosaurs for dinner.
Good morning, Diego said coming up to me while I was way ahead following after Buck. Hearing his voice Buck had a sly kind of smirk on his face unintentionally beginning to eavesdrop. Hoping all would end up going well. Sleep well? He asked me. Well when I woke up you were laying next to me like you usually do, I commented yawning. So, probably yeah.
Well you don't look like you did. Well gee aren't you thoughtful? I teased nudging into him. No, I'm serious why wouldn't I or why I shouldn't I care? You're my sister, we're a family. I care about you. He says nudging me back. Say that word again? I ask him. Lifting an eyebrow at him. Contrary to your belief little sister I do care about you. He smirks rolling his eyes.
Everyone stop! Buck suddenly called when we approached what he would've guessed was some scene of some crime. Picking up Sid's distinct scent like as if he were a hunting dog on a mission. Before coming up with ridiculous explanations as to what he thought probably had happened. Including two of the following....
First he thinks that perhaps the dinosaur had tried to attack Sid and that he had fought back with the giant piece of broccoli, but two things wrong with that guess Sid doesn't know violence, and he's not coordinated. And we have no idea where the dinosaur would be if that had happened. And theory number two was only just slightly different where the dinosaur had eaten Sid.
To which we wanted to know when he first lost his mind, and he'd told us that he'd lost it about 3 months ago. That when he did he'd woken up married to an ugly pineapple but that he loved her anyways. That will become you if you choose to stay down here. I teased my brother, but if it does at least I wouldn't have to worry about losing you to a tiger but to a piece of fruit. I chuckled, but I'll be supportive of you, and love you just the same even if I'm all the way up there and you're all the way down here. After all hey I just want you to be happy.
Hey Buck, I call to him leaving my brother speechless and jaw dropped I point out the giant dinosaur foot print leading in some off direction as part of our logical evidence. Then we heard Rudy and then Sid and we kept a move on into the land of what was left of the Plates of Woe. Somewhere between trying to pass through them on our way to Lava Falls where we'd hope to find Sid alive, Ellie got separated from the rest of us.
After Ellie called down to tell us she was ok, in later moments it turned out that she wasn't ok. But couldn't remember the code word. Speaking of pineapples, that was the first word she said. While Manny the guys teased about her cravings, my ears perked up, and I was worried. MT: Oh no.
Don't worry Ellie I'm coming! I called up to her. Whoa, whoa where are you going? Diego asked me. It's an emergency I need to get Ellie! As fast as possible! Diego looked at me confused my woman instincts were kicking in I knew something was very wrong. Even though I hadn't been there when they were deciding what word to use when the baby was coming.
When she started naming off other foods until she got to peaches Manny began freaking out since that meant that the baby was about to be born. And was even more concerned that Buck wanted to take the other two with him to Lava Falls to bring back Sid even though we were breaking rule number two. But while the 3 possum like creatures went after Sid before he could be toasted or eaten alive I'd ran up the plates as quick but also as carefully as possible to get to Ellie.
While my brother told Manny that he had his back and that it was obvious that I did too. As they raced up after me. Meanwhile Sid and the babies were at Lava Falls and Sid was very quickly getting closer and closer to the edge of the falls part. While with us as we climbed up the plates of woe other not as nice dinosaurs started chasing up after us.
Manny, it's ok we'll go protect Ellie, Farrah is almost up there as it is, you stay and defend her by fighting off those other dinosaurs, because if you don't they reach her it will be too late. Once we got up there I was there first, and Diego was fighting his way up also fighting off the evil dinosaurs. Until he got up to the top.
It's ok Ellie we're here, you're gonna be ok. Are you OK? Diego asked her while she was having some very painful contractions. Where he had no knowledge about giving birth himself he told her no not really, but while I helped prepare for the baby to come he watched me carefully reminding her that he DID remember when I was born. He smiled lost in thought like his eyes had stars in them. He was the only other one aside from Manny who had once had a family of his own, he knew what it was like to have a family, and to have it taken away.
Ellie said she was scared and asked to hold his paw, which he in turn gave to her and as he winced in pain I didn't like that he was, but seeing him show any kind of emotion was as good as I was gonna get out of him. Until the evil bad dinosaurs came back and he had to go and fight them off again. While I helped her. You fight the bad guys and I'm gonna help Ellie.
Meanwhile while we were helping Ellie give child birth and protecting her from enemies the boys were on one of those flying dinosaurs as they dived down towards the lava to pick up Sid but before they could rescue him they had their own problems with police like flying birds and they were shooting berries at them to keep them off their trail. And with us again while Diego fought the dinosaurs great minds think alike as we both reminded her that for her the important thing was that she breathe and that everything would be ok.
Just when Sid thought he was gonna die as he fell off the side of the lava fall he was scooped up by the bird and was headed back towards where we were back in the direction of the plates of woe. Which for us would be another reason to call it that, but just until after the pain was gone and then we could call it Whoa! Cause of the "miracles of childbirth."
After the bad dinosaurs were gone, and Sid was on his way he was sad to not had gotten the chance to say goodbye to his dinosaur family. And we were saying hello to our newest family member. When that last big push came and the beautiful sounds of a new voice was heard just as Diego was helping Manny up the side of the cliff.
We now had our own new little Peaches. And were gonna gain back a Sid, and soon our imperfectly perfect family would once again temp be complete.
