The confession

After calming down Chaeyoung, Mina kept her on her lap. Chaeyoung's legs were comfortably wrapped around Mina's waist with her hands around Mina's shoulder.(shoulder of the year)

"Why did you drink so much?, it was your first time drinking right?" Mina asks Chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung cutely nods making Mina smile. "Mina about what I had told you can you forget about that? " Chaeyoung asks as she tightly hugs the older. "No and never" Mina replies gaining a pout from Chaeyoung.

Mina quickly pecks on her lips making Chaeyoung blush like a hell. Chaeyoung softly hits on Mina's arm making Mina to laugh at her. "Eyyy look you are blushing" Mina teases.

"Chaeyoung I want to tell you something too and as I listened to your each and every word without any interference, you are going to do the same" Mina says as she smiles at the younger. Chaeyoung nods. Mina looks at her eyes, "Chaeyoung, Xao isn't my real son" Mina softly says to her.

Chaeyoung now was shocked but as Mina requested she didn't speak. "Xao is my big brother's son" Mina says with a hint of sadness. "They came back to Korea to meet me but that night everything changed for me and Xao" Mina said with a heavy heart.

"Xao was the only child of John. My brother was happily married to Stephanie, his girlfriend" Mina stops and continues again, "they decided to get married as they both were serious about each other, after two years we got the news of Stephanie getting pregnant" Mina smiled at the memory.

"Me, John and my sister in law were always together, until the delivery date came" Mina gulps, "that day too it rained like it did on that day, the clouds were dark and looked unpleasant, me along with John went to the hospital with Stephanie at the right time but who knew that even if we went there in right time, it wasn't really with us"

"She was taken to emergency room and the procedure started, my brother was called inside as he should be with his wife", "I was just praying that both mom and child to be safe but John came crying after some time"

"I asked him why was he crying but he couldn't answer, his eyes were red and then the doctor came out with a sad expression" Mina said with a heavy heart. "Sorry, we couldn't save her" he told and went away.

"I saw Stephanie lying in the bed with sad eyes, then I saw Xao lying next to her flashing a small smile with his small dimple showing that looked exactly like John's" Mina smiled again but this time with a hint of sadness.

Chaeyoung also had her eyes covered with tears but she didn't cry as she should be strong for Mina. She pats Mina's back and caress her hair trying to make her calm. Mina sniffs and continues," John was called inside by Stephanie, he already had his eyes red and swollen."

"John, look at me dear" Stephanie said in a weak voice. "John looked at her trying his best not to break down in front of Stephanie." "John take care of our son" Stephanie said in a sad voice. "She kissed Xao's forehead and gave me a peck on my cheek and grabbed my hand." "Mina take care of your brother and this little boy" Stephanie whispered between her sobs.

"I was breaking down too and was already crying a lot, Stephanie spoke again "Guys I will miss you, don't cry please". "John hugged her tightly and kisses her lips, I gave them some alone time" Mina sighed. "And then Stephanie passed out on John's arms" Mina said crying.

"Chaeyoung she really was like a mother for me, whenever I needed some extra money or any clothes she will be always sneaking out John's money and gave it to me" Mina cries in her shoulder. Chaeyoung can do nothing but just wipes the older's tear.

"Stephanie death really made John to lost his smile but there was Xao who came as our little happiness, John didn't move on from Stephanie and worked hard for me and Xao and then after that he send me Korea for our business" Mina said.

"After 3 years I was already popular and my business went to the success, and one fay John called me and asked me to pick him and Xao from the airport, I was so excited as we haven't been able to meet for almost 1 year" she said.

"After picking him up, he insisted to drive so I agreed, we were talking about how life was and Xao was in the back seat when suddenly a truck came and crashed to our car" Mina gulped as she remembered that dark night.

"Everything became black, we both tried to escape but John already gave up and the last thing he said before dying was to take care and love Xao as my own son, Xao was crying loudly but no one came"

"But all of a sudden I saw someone coming towards us, a girl came to us and took Xao, I was in a kind of tight situation and even if she had tried maybe she would have failed to take me out too, she also looked at John's situation and he was already gone and the only thing I remember before passing out was the girl's back, she was wearing a purple hat and a strawberry printed T-shirt" Mina said as she tried her best to remember.

"Then after sometime, the rescue service saved me and I heard that Xao was already admitted in a hospital, I tried my best to look for that girl but I couldn't as she didn't left any detail" Mina sighed. "I really wanted to thank her" she added.

"After that I took care of Xao as my own son, he lost his partial memories, I showed the world Xao as my own son and lied about my marriage and dead husband, I didn't want Xao to feel lost in this world and think of himself as an orphan so I became his mom and his dad" Mina said with a smile.

"Chaeyoung, I was never married and likewise you said, about the kiss yes you were my first" Mina said as she grabbed Chaeyoung's hands and intertwined with hers.

"And Son Chaeyoung about this weird feeling, I know it's nothing but love, even I tried my best to hide my true self but I couldn't as I was comfortable around you, the home me and Xao were seeking after John's and Stephanie's death was you" she said and continued.

"This feeling is new for me, you were my first kiss, you were the first girl I ever was comfortable with except for my family and friends and of course you are the one who made me feel calm, happy and safe" Mina whispered.

"Son Chaeyoung, I knew Xao surely will have a lot improvement in his health after you came in his life but never did I thought this will end up making mine's better too" Mina smiled and gave Chaeyoung a small peck on her cheek.

"Son Chaeyoung will you be with me and Xao, I won't be able to feel like living in the house that you made home without you being around, home for me at this time is everywhere with you" Mina said as she started to tear up.

"I want you to be my permanent partner, I want to extend this contract and want to keep you forever, I want to know this world that you are my wife, Chaeyoung" Mina said wiping her happy tears. Chaeyoung was loss of words and couldn't feel more happier.

"Son Chaeyoung you were my first in everything I did and I want you to be the only one and the last one too" Mina said as she captured Chaeyoung's lips. She knew what will be Chaeyoung replying her the same so she immediately without wasting her time kissed her soon to be wife. Chaeyoung and Mina both were crying happy tears as they found who they wanted to have in their life.

Someone who can make you feel like a child, someone who will make you feel protected and comfortable. They found each other as one's happiness and comfort. They were each other's safe zone. Later Chaeyoung brought the topic about Xao's dad death. Mina was unknown about what Chaeyoung knew.
