Smiling sadly I twist my hair around my fingers, a habit I've always had that comes about when I'm emotionally conflicted. I want to honor his memory by being happy, then I'm sad that he's gone, as well as angry that he left me. I knew it wasn't right for me to be mad, but I loved him so much and him gone is like a never ending tear through my soul.

"Why are you such a jerk Davy?!" she screamed in frustration, kicking his shin knowing it wouldn't hurt him. He grabbed her fist just as she was about to punch him. Sixteen year old Davy looked down at his best friend and crush in wonder. They had grown up together, how could she not see the way he felt? Granted, he probably shouldn't have done what he did. Getting jealous over a guy that was hitting on her and beating him up was not the way to win her heart.

"Because I love you Suzy... Since the day you walked into my kindergarten class and sat next to me, I have been slowly falling head over heals in love with you," he let her fist go and started walking away with what dignity he had left. Shocked, Suzy just stood there for a bit.

"Wait!" she shouted while running towards him. Out of breath she says, "I thought... I... I mean, well, I thought the guy is supposed to... um... to kiss the girl..." she blushed furiously while looking down at her toes, embarrassed at her outburst. A grin spread across his face slowly as he pulled her in for a kiss.
