The most oxymoronic day of my life would have to be the day Davy was diagnosed with cancer. I felt so much pain at the fact that I was going to lose him but was so happy because that same day we were engaged then married. We sort of eloped at the county office, but our parents, reluctantly, agreed to sign the papers. The 'wedding' wasn't a big deal, but him proposing was amazing and sweet.

"You have terminal cancer David, you only have five years to live... I'm sorry sir," the doctor states and leaves. Suzy sucks in a breath and whimpers, trying to stop the oncoming wave of tears. Davy gets on his knee in front of her and grabs her left hand.

"I know we are only eighteen and this isn't the most romantic spot, but Suzy, I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, even if it's only for five years. Please, Suzy, would you do me the honor of being my wife?" he pulled out a jewelers box and opened it. She nodded, with a small smile on her face, and he put the ring on her finger then wiped her tears away and kissed her.
