Shoulder to lean on

Chapter Seven

"Good morning to you too." I said and laughed 

"Morning Grace sorry I just really wanna know what your plan is." he said with a smile on his face 

"Well there are some steps." I said I could see he was intrigued. 

Step one - Pack all essentials and favourite clothes 

Step two - don't tell anyone except for Kit obviously 

Step three - go to school as normal 

Step four - go home with Kit 

Step Five - plan complete 

He looked at me with a sense of doubt. I looked at him smiling. "Grace you know she knows where I live." he said worried 

I looked at him "Kit we will get your mum to open the door and say that I haven't been turning up to school for the past few days. She will never know trust me she is oblivious to everything." 

"okay" he said. He then looked at me and I could see the concern in his face. 

"Grace did she hit you yesterday?" he asked me. I avoided eye contact by looking down. Kit put his head on mine and hugged me tightly. I cried into his shoulder. 

"Shhhhh it's ok you're not going back there." he said rubbing my back 

I looked up at him and smiled "Why are you so nice to me?" 

"Grace you are the most genuine person I have ever met." I said with the biggest smile on his face. 

"How am I, I have come to this school become friends with you and only caused you problems. Like I feel like I'm a burden to you. I just offload all of my grief to you and now you are having to offer me a room in your home because I can't even stay at my own." I said a single tear streaming down my face. 

He quickly wiped it. "Grace you are not a burden and trust me you are the most amazing person I have ever met since being at this school and I have been here since year 7 so that says something." 

I smiled. "Thanks Kit that means a lot." 

He just hugged me. We walked into form sat down and we were talking about what we are going to do after school. He told me that his younger brother may ask some question but I don't have to answer them if I don't want to. 

The School day ended and Kits mum picked us up from school so I didn't have to walk with all my bags. Kit helped me with my bags which I thought was kind. His mum was telling me that I would have to stay on a blow up bed on Kits floor. I honestly didn't mind as long as I didn't have to lock the door for my own safety its a bonus for me. 

We got back to his house. Kit took me up to his room and we continued watching the film that we didn't finish last time. it was actually a good film I wouldn't watch it again though. I would never say that to Kit because he seemed to really enjoy it. 

We had dinner with was really nice. and then we got ready for bed. Kit and I watched The Vampire Diaries together this was more my thing but I don't think Kit enjoyed it that much. after watching the first season we went to bed. I fell asleep in my bed and Kit fell asleep in his. 

Kit's POV 

it was about 1am and I heard screaming so I woke up and checked on Grace and she was asleep but she was crying. I quickly got up and tried waking her but it wasn't working. I didn't want her to wake anyone else up as it would scare both my mum, Dad and  my little brother so I was shaking her but she wasn't waking up. I was really worried about her. 

Grace's POV 

I suddenly felt someone shaking me and I heard a voice "Grace please wake up Grace you are ok please wake up." I suddenly wake up and I see Kit knelt over me almost in tears he doesn't say anything just pulls me into a big hug. 

I sit there and cry into the hug. "Grace are you ok?" he asks I sit there in silence not saying anything.
