Shoulder to lean on

Chapter Ten

We were sat on Kits bed doing the drama work that we would have been doing at school. I caught him staring at me.
"Kit we have to get this work done stop staring at me." I laughed
"I wasn't staring I don't know what you are talking about." He said as he continued doing his work.
We both finished all of our work really early so we cuddle for a little bit.
"Grace?" He said looking at me
"Kit?" I responded
It took a while for home to answer. But he finally did "So I have an audition at the weekend."
I looked at him "Kit so have I. I signed up for it as it was open to anyone."
He hugged me "You are going to do so well."
I hugged back and laughed "I'm not the one who has been in films and series before."
He looked at me confused "You knew who I was before we became friends."
I nodded my head.
"But why didn't you say anything." He asked
"Because I'm not one of those people. You are just like the rest of us so I treated you like that." I said
He just hugged me and said "Thank you Grace."
"So will your mum take us to this audition then." I asked
He looked at me as if I had just insulted him. "Ummm is that even a question. Of course she will take us!"
I was so excited to share a moment like this with Kit. We looked as each other for a while and he lent in and he kiss me.

In my head I was screaming this was amazing. This boy is so perfect how could anyone be this perfect. I looked at him in shock he quickly looked away.
"Oh my god was it too soon." He said very quickly and panicked.

I hugged him and replied "No it's what I have been needing for a while."

He pulled away and looked at me. Tears in his eyes. One tears falls down his cheek but I quickly catch it and wipe it away.  "Hey no crying. I don't like seeing you upset." I said pulling a sad face at him.

He laughed and hugged me. We spent the rest of the day watch The Vampire Diaries and cuddling. Kit was my best friend and my boyfriend what more could a girl ask for.
