"Kit I'm fine. Stop worrying" I said
He smiled. at the same time he grabbed my hand and took me outside of the form room.
"Grace what is going on you have a bruise on you head and you have nail marks on your arm."
I just started crying. I fell to the floor shaking. He sat on the floor and held me in his arms. "Grace you know you can tell me anything." he said.
I started shaking and hyperventilating. He held me tight. "Shhhhhhhhh Grace it's ok. you don't have to tell me yet." he said rubbing my back. I started to calm down slowly.
"I can't lie to you Kit. My step mum hits me for no reason." I sobbed to him. he didn't say anything he just held me and hugged me tight. I just sobbed for 10 minutes straight. he looked at be really concerned.
"Grace." he said
I looked at him "hmm"
"You are not going back there." he said
"But.." I said scared
"No Grace you will come home with me" he told me. I nodded my head and hugged him.
'Thank you Kit." I said into the his shoulder.
"I don't think should stay at school we can get the work from each of our lesson and we will go back to mine." he said
"ummmm I not sure Kit." I said
"Grace its fine my mum will be ok with it." he assured me. I nodded and followed him. we collected our work and he took me back to his house. For the first time in 6 months I felt safe. I didn't feel like I had to lock every door I walked through because I knew that somewhere Kit was there and he would protect me.
It was 7pm and we were watching some films I don't remember the name because I ended up falling asleep on Kits shoulder. Im not sure how long I was asleep for but when I wake I look up and I had caught Kit looking at me. "Were you watching me sleep." I say sleepily.
"what no I wasn't." he said quickly and looked away.
I smiled "Kit its ok if you were."
He smiled. we carried on talking about how I was going to get all my stuff from my house. BANG BANG BANG! I knew straight away who that was. my mood immediately changed Kit noticed. I was shaking. He held me "Grace who is it?" he asked me.
I could barely respond "I...I...Its ...Her she is here Kit I can't go back." he didn't say anything he just hugged me. what was I going to do? How did she know I was here? I can't go back. Kit wouldn't let me would he?
