I hugged Kit and I just cried. "She was there Kit." I sobbed.
"OH MY GOD Grace I told you it wasn't a good idea." Kit said as he hugged me tight.
"Its ok she didn't see me." I said. He nodded
"Grace you know I'm always here for you." he reassured me. I nodded and just hugged him.
"Thank you Kit I don't feel like I say that enough considering how much you do for me." I say still in his embrace.
He pulled away and looks at me and says "Grace you say that more than enough. It's my turn to say something."
"Go on." I say
"Grace I want to thank you for once because you have change my life more than you know. When I saw you in form at the start of the year I knew you were going to be important to me but I didn't know how important." He was going to continue but I cut him off.
"Kit." I say
"No let me finish Grace. as I was saying you have change my life for the better. I'm so glad I met you because my life it better with you in it and Grace I have liked for a while now and if I'm honest with you. When you opened up to me about what was going on I felt a need to protect you as much as I could. don't ask my why but I don't want to imagine a life with out you Grace you are amazing, intelligent and so beautiful inside and out." he paused for a moment. He took a deep breath. and continued.
"Grace I want you to be my girlfriend." he said. I was shocked. I just hugged him.
"oh my god Kit of course I will is that even an answer you have done so much for me of course." I jump and hug him. He hugged me back. I started crying.
"Grace why are you crying." he asked with the most loving and concerned look on his face.
"I never thought this would happen to me." I said tears going down my face. he quickly wiped them.
"Grace on a serious note I think we should report Lisa to the police." he said
"yes I'm ready to tell the story as long as I can have you with me." I say looking at him. He kissed me on the forehead and responded "Of course let's call them now."
We called the police they turned up at Kits house and I told them and showed them some photos that Kit had taken of the injuries. They told me that I am legally allowed to stay here. They assured me that they will do their best to serve justice. They shortly left.
"How you feeling." Kit asked me. I looked at him and shrugged. to be totally honest how do I know if she will go away. I don't.
"I will feel better when I know she is gone." I said
"I know Gracie I know." he said hugging me
I pulled away and looked at him with a smile "Gracie."
"well that just kinda slipped out." he said looking embarrassed.
"No say it again it was cute." I said
"Now I'm definitely never calling you that again." he told me I gave him a grumpy face.
How could I get so lucky.
