Always at War (Completed)

Chapter 4.

*3 hours later*

Amelia's POV

When I woke up, I didn't  know where I was. 

I have no idea how much I've ran nor in which point I made it out of the hospital. But I'm out in the world, were there is war. 

I should go back, but I really don't remember getting here. Which means I don't remember the way back. 

What have I done? 

My breathing began to accelerate as I look at my surroundings. I was in the middle of nowhere. 

Everything looked abandoned, houses burnt down, crashed down by the attacks. Maybe that is a good thing though, it means that they probably won't attack here again since they already destroyed everything. 

Should I scream to see if anybody is around? Or would that be stupid? 

Fuck, I regret ever running. But I couldn't control my anxiety. 

"HELLO?!" I decided to scream as I began to walk whatever my feet would take me. "IS ANYONE HERE?!" 

My voice felt dry but I have no water. Fuck I have no water. 

I need to find my way back and fast, I won't be able to survive alone. 

Wait, I have powers. 

I can heal people. 

Is this really true? I mean, it does make sense that that's how I could feel my brother alive, because I saved him. 

But how could he lie to me? How could he not tell me about this? 

I kept walking and walking for what felt like hours. I lost track of time the moment I opened my eyes again and I've never felt so alone. But I have no choice but to keep walking.

Hoseok's POV 

"She's nowhere near the hospital, we've searched everywhere." I said to Jake, who was obviously stressed out about his sister missing. 

I still can't believe I wasn't fast enough to stop her. 

"HOW DID YOU LET HER GET SO FAR!" He suddenly yelled and stood up from the bed getting in my face. 

"I-I I'm sorry-" 

"AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A RESCUER?! THEN GO AND RESCUE HER!" 

"Look Jake-" 

"STOP BEING HERE AND DO SOMETHING!" 

Just as he said that we both stayed silent as we could now hear I think Amelia's doctor talking to someone outside the room. 

"We need to find her. We need to have her here so we can experiment on her. She is different from us, we could use her." 

I look at Jake and he had such a frightened face. I could feel my heart beating faster as well just by the thought of Amelia getting hurt. 

They can't find her. 

"You need to find her before they do." Jake said, after he thought for a moment. "You need to keep her safe, but you can't come back here." 

"What? How are we supposed to survive out there? The war is reaching its end and this is the most dangerous part-" 

"I know, but it's better to be out there than here where they are surely going to hurt her. That's why my parents never wanted me to tell her, because word spread, walls listen and people now know she has powers. She will be used and probably tortured if she comes back. You need to save her and keep her safe."
