Always at War (Completed)

Chapter 9.

Taehyung's POV 

I saw a small and very faint figure coming from a distance, nearing the house. My heart began to pound and I made my way quickly but quietly towards Suga who was guarding the other side of the house. 

"We have to go inside. There's someone coming." When he understood what I said, his eyes widened and he nodded, following me inside quickly but quietly. 

When we got inside we saw Jimin looking at Amelia who was serving herself a cup of water and Jimin was laughing quietly, since Joon was sleeping on the couch. 

I woke up Joon and he was startled but didn't make a sound as I told him the same thing I told Suga. This time, telling him that we needed to hide. 

I made signals to Jimin so I didn't have to speak, and I mouthed to him 'HIDE'. He looked towards the window when I pointed at it and he saw the faint figure coming towards the house. 

'Shit!' I saw him mouthed to me and I nodded as he saw us hiding. I saw him walking towards Amelia and he put a hand over her mouth. I could tell Amelia was freaking out and even more now as I turned off the lights. 

Our eyes adapt easily to the night since most of our work when we first began to be volunteers consisted in the night. 

Joon, Jk, Suga and I were all in the corner against the window, making sure to be very crunched down so whoever was outside wouldn't be able to see us, only if they decided to open the window and see beneath it. 

Jimin did the same with Amelia and when she saw that we were in the same position as them, I could see it in her eyes how everything began to make sense. 

Specially when the noise from whoever was outside began to be heard. 

I saw her closing her eyes out of instinct and Jimin still had his hand over her mouth in case she would scream out of instinct as well. 

Shit, Hoseok is upstairs. I hope he is sound asleep so he won't come downstairs for anything right now. It could put us all in danger. 

I could feel all of our hearts beating faster, it felt like an eternity. The person had a light so we could see where whoever it was, he or she were moving around the house, trying to find an entrance. 

Hopefully we locked the front door, but I'm not sure about the back door. 

We saw how the light began to move to the back of the house and I knew we were in trouble. 

I saw Joon standing up and going to hide in the wall that was against the hallway that connected to the back door, in case it was unlocked and the person could get in. He had taken a gun with him so he had it against his chest. 

I saw Amelia wanting to get up but Jimin had her put in the corner with him so she wouldn't do anything stupid. 

Suddenly we heard the door opening or more like being crashed down, making me jump in fear and I knew we were in deep shit. 

Amelia closed her eyes again and I saw Jimin closing them too and I could tell that even he felt scared. 

We were all scared. 

Then, something happened and in that moment I didn't knew what was going to happen next. 

We heard the person going upstairs. 

Hoseok was still upstairs asleep.

As soon as we all heard the footsteps going upstairs, I saw Amelia flipping out and I could tell that this time she really had the need to help. She knew that Hoseok was in trouble.
