Chapter eight: Your Sorrys are meaningless to me.

Chapter 8:

“Bye.” Penelope said to herself.

Penelope saw sitting on the couch staring at her so Penelope tried to run to her room before Alyssia caught her.

“How did it go?” She asked running after Penelope making her scream.

Penelope ran into her room and tried to shut the door but Alyssia managed to get her tiny body through the tiny crack between the door and the door frame.

“I said how did it go? Tell me all the deets.”

“No. It didn’t go well ok?” Penelope said.

“Oh I’m so sorry does that mean I can have him? Is he cute?”

“No. You’ve seen him before Alice.”

“I have? Eeeew is he that big hairy guy from the mall that gave you a wet candy cane on Christmas and said have this candy cane my love?”

“Eew eew no. no. Of course not. It was way more recent than that.”

They both stood there for a minute staring at the pink wall then they both cringed at how gross it was for Penelope when she was holding a candy cane that a hairy guy had licked already.

“I don’t know.” Alyssia said looking at the ceiling.

“The guy in the elevator.”

Alyssia looked at Penelope trying to remember who that was.

“Marissa shaved her nails over his shoe.”

“Ahhhh! That guy was so cute!!!!”

“Yeah, yeah sure he was that’s why it didn’t go well is because he remembered me. I said the date was a disaster and he said no it wasn’t.”

“Aww how sweet.”

“No, not really he said it was disgusting.”

“Ughh how not sweet.” Alyssia said with a frown.

“Yeah I know. See, this is the whole reason why I didn’t want to do this.”

“What did you do?” Alyssia asked.

“I poured soda on his head.”

“Yep that probably did it.”

“I kicked his shin too.”

“Great. Go P. That’s what I’m talking about.”

“Yeah. Well.”

“Yeah well what? Penelope do you like him?”

“No, I don’t like him it’s just that…..I don’t know.”

“Ooh You don’t know that means that it’s a mystery, that means that you’re falling in love again. That means that you’re gonna have a boyfriend again.”

Penelope laughed.

“That doesn’t mean anything so just get out of my hair about it ok?”

“Alright.” Alyssia replied.

Penelope looked on Alyssia’s laptop and saw that MasterLM91 was asking to chat with her.

She accepted.

PrincessP92: Hi

MasterLM91: Hey, look I wanted to say I was sorry

PrincessP92: Really?

MasterLM91: Yeah. I shouldn’t have treated u like that.

PrincessP92: Yeah well I forgive you.

MasterLM91: So do u want 2 start over? Maybe get some lunch l8er?

“Say yes say yes say yes say yes.” Alyssia said chanting over and over in Penelope’s face.

PrincessP92: No.

Alyssia frowned and so did Lucas. Well in the chat box at least.

MasterLM91: May I ask y?

PrincessP92: Is there really a need to? U remember what u said to me.

MasterLM91: I’m sorry I said that to you.

PrincessP92: I know and I forgive u but I am not going on a date with u after wat u said.

MasterLM91: I’m sorry.

An hour passed by Penelope sat there pretty much the whole time. She sat there staring at Lucas’s comments he kept saying I’m sorry. I’m sorry I’m sorry. Penelope said to herself he’s not really sorry he’s just trying to make me think that he is. All he is doing is just hitting copy and paste.

“He’ll stop eventually.” Alyssia stated.

After it turned 5:00 Penelope started to feel guilty.

“What if he’ll never stop I have to say something.” Penelope said to herself.

PrincessP92: Hi.

PrincessP92: R u There?

PrincessP92: Lucas?

PrincessP92: R U DEAD??

MasterLM91: No I’m not dead sorry I fell asleep. I had my sorrys on repeat. Oops I didn’t mean to type that out loud. R u mad now?

PrincessP92: No. I’m not mad actually me and Alice were just laughing about it. It’s kind of funny.
