rolling thunder like the sky throwing a fit
lashing down with lightning
and screaming through the air
with fist fulls of debris
it rages and rages and stomps around
until it is exhausted all its energy
letting out all of its pent up feelingsclean fresh air on my body
as I open my front door
cool and crisp and full of life
rid of the sticky perspiration that hung in the air
the sky a perfect powder periwinkle
clouds like the stuffing of a pillow thrown across the sky
a symphony of calm after the chorus of chaosa strip in the sky
pastel with faded edges and fraying ends
full of all the colors nature could muster up
Neverending as it reaches above thrown feathers
as rare as can be and a slight to behold
fleeting but cherished for those moments
melting into the sea of blue, an ombre in the backgroundthe due that drips off of every leaf and petal
rolling off edges and diving into mirrors on the ground
a landscape of breathtaking beauty
the soil damp with the aroma of newly laid mulch
notes of pollen float on waves of wind
birds back out after the barrage singing on their merry way
there is something about the moments after rain
