I never understood human emotions. I mean I would watch shows where people started crying when they were happy, mad, or sad, seemed to be the only thing they could do in the moment. "Okay sounds good. I will drive to your place after school" his voice startled me. According to my teachers, I am "lost in my world" whatever that shit means. "Sounds good," I told him nodding trying to process what I just agreed to. He went back to talking to his friends. Izzy came running into class. All eyes were on her. She glared at them and flashed the teacher a fake smile and apology and handed Ms. Green her late slip and sat by me. I waited a few minutes before turning to her and asking her why she was late, "fashionably late I see" she rolled her eyes at my sarcastic remarks, "yes I am Grey," she smiled I could not tell if it was fake or genuine hard to tell with her. "Well, you're just in time there's this party at my house tonight where we study and cram in as much shit as we can for school it's so awesome" I said in a perky "I'm being so happy I want to barf" type voice. It made her laugh, "oh sounds so fun I'll be there" she chuckles shaking her head at me, "who is all going to be there?" she looked at me in question. Honestly, it was just me, her, and James. I might bribe Claire and Cleo to join us. "You, me, James, Claire, and Cleo, a real jammer I know" I rolled my eyes playfully and looked at James. He was oddly paying attention to me, not his friends. "Oh, a party I see?" he smirked and pulled his chair closer to me. I felt closed in I tried to keep my cool, "yes it's going to be so fun studying" I rolled my eyes and turned to Izzy, "you down?" she flashes James a smile and nods "yes I'm always down for your stupid plans" I shake my head, "they aren't that stupid" she laughs "yes Grey they kind of are" that got a laugh out of James, I felt my face go hot I covered my cheeks before anyone saw. James looked at me concerned, "you okay, Grey?" both their eyes were on me. Fuck. Time to pull out the good old "I'm fine" I told them. They exchanged a glance and shrugged, leaving it alone. I sighed and took out my textbook reading what the assignment was.
