It had been 8 months since Gojo had broken your heart thoroughly. You hated him for what he did to you. It is always easier to be angry than admit your sadness, the anger is simply a mask. You decided that you had to hate him for what he did, it helped you move on.

Of course, there were still days that you were undeniably sad and missed him terribly, but those were becoming less frequent and you began to find pleasure in the simple things. Without Gojo, you always ate warm meals and you got to go to bed early. How could you complain about those wonderful things? Not to mention you no longer had so much laundry to do and you had more time to take up hobbies. You had begun to find yourself again, no longer focusing on someone else.

And so, you had begun to dip your toes into the water that was introducing yourself to attractive males your age. Gojo was gone, and you could freely pursue someone who was as interested in you as you were in them.

You decided to never date another jujutsu sorcerer again, especially when you were someone normal who couldn't see curses. Thankfully, you met someone who was interesting and kind, and actually seemed to care about you-- not to mention he was just as normal as you! You had begun to see this man regularly and you were falling faster than you hoped you would.

A strong pair of arms wrapped around your waist as you were hugged from behind, effectively interrupting your thoughts about Gojo.

"Guess who." A playful voice whispered in your ear. You smiled as you instantly knew who it was.

"Suguru, you almost scared me for a second there." You turned around to place a quick kiss on his cheek.

"Almost? I think I was pretty scary." He laughed teasingly. You only rolled your eyes in a playful manner.

"Fine, you scared the pants off of me." You agreed with him sarcastically.

"Did I?" He cheekily raised an eyebrow and leaned down toward you. Your cheeks heated up as you nervously turned your head away. This man had the ability to always make your stomach flutter at any given moment.

"Not literally, you dork." You turned back around to stir the food on the stovetop before it burned.

You couldn't hold back the smile as he wrapped his arms around you while you cooked dinner. You hadn't been this happy in a long time. Suguru was everything that Gojo was not and for that, you were extremely grateful. He was absolutely perfect and you knew that you could easily spend the rest of your life with this man.

"I got you something while I was coming back from work today." He spoke suddenly.

"Really?" You questioned, not being able to remember the last time you received a gift from somebody. You could've cried right then and there if not for his adorable face as he rummaged through his pocket, looking for your gift.

"Here," He held out a wrapped little present for you.

You weren't certain what Geto did for work but he had told you it was a non-profit organisation to help the unfortunate people of the world. He wasn't at work for very long but was expected to answer the phone should they call. Thankfully they didn't call often when you were with him and the calls were quick. He made it a point to tell them he was with you, prioritising you.

Your fingers worked to unwrap the outside wrapping layer. A small jewellery box was underneath the thin wrapping. You were in awe of it. It was gorgeous with dark blue paint and green gems for embellishment. You loved it because it was from Geto.

"It's beautiful, I love it." You smiled up at him.

"Open it," he nodded his head towards the box.

You complied and opened the box, gasping when you saw the bracelet inside. It was a diamond bracelet, the diamonds wrapping all the way around. It must've been incredibly expensive.

"Suguru... I don't know what to say, it's absolutely gorgeous." Your lip quivered as you worked your hardest to hold back your tears. His eyes widened at your reaction.

"Darling, you don't have to cry." He smiled as he pulled you into a hug, trying to comfort you.

"I... I just really like you." You sobbed into his chest, pulling him close with one arm while the other held out the box with the bracelet inside.

"I really like you too, you goofball." His tender words made you cry even harder.

"I'm so lucky to have found you!" You cried.

"I'm luckier." He whispered, holding you close to him.

While love was constantly having ups and downs, the ups were the best things you could've experienced. Anyone who has truly experienced love would agree with this fact, despite the impending pain that a breakup would bring. What was more potent of the two sides? You had learned it was love.
