Arslan could only hope that the Sultan asked after him to make sure he was alright or to hear the story from his mouth, he was afraid that the alliance between the Giray Khans and Ottomans ended the second that arrow struck the tree. Arslan fixed his shirt only then remembering that his Kaftan was still with Mihrimah Sultan. The guards immediately let Arslan into the Sultan's room where he found Hürrem Sultan hugging a shaking Mihrimah Sultan, who was still wearing his kaftan, Mehmed was standing beside his mother rubbing her back comfortingly.

"Arslan!" Arslan had barely stood back up straight from bowing to the Sultan before arms wrapped around his neck and pulled him back down to the height of his crying mother. Arslan hugged her back knowing that if he pulled away she would get even more frantic.

"Son, are you alright?" His father asked placing a hand on his shoulder. Arslan looked ta his father over his mother's shoulder and nodded his head.

"I am father" Arslan answered. Fatima Hatun pulled away from her son against her heart's will but she did not want to embarrass him in front of his in-laws.

"Are you sure you're alright, Arslan?" Sultan Suleiman asked his son-in-law. Arslan turned to the Sultan who eyed him from his head to his toes.

"Yes your majesty, that traitor was caught before he could inflict harm upon anyone" Arslan answered back. His face was emotionless the entire time much to the shock of his mother, she was used to seeing her hot-blooded son but she realized that he was controlling himself in front of the Sultan he feared more than his own father.

"Thank Allah" Sultan Suleiman Khan nodded patting the Khanzada on his shoulder. Sultan Suleiman turned to look at his daughter who pried herself from her mother's arms and had controlled her shaking.

"Thank you Khanzada, you had saved my life, if you hadn't noticed the man behind me, I would have been shot by that arrow" Mihrimah's words came as a shock to many in the room. Hürrem Sultan was shocked that her daughter wasn't using this incident to call off the wedding, she had been crying nonstop for months trying to end this alliance. Mehmed tried hard not to smirk at the look on his sister's face, she was begging him only two days ago to end the wedding however now it seemed like she didn't mind anymore.

"I was only acting according to my duties" Arslan answered eyeing the Sultan behind Mihrimah Sultan, her own father. He of course could not flirt and act upon the thirst to make her smile again, he wanted to see her happy again very badly.

"Thank you" Mihrimah slipped his kaftan off of her shoulders and held it out to him. Arslan took the velvet kaftan from her and draped it over his elbow.

"Tell me Arslan, what happened after you ran after the traitor?" Sultan Suleiman Khan asked his son-in-law. Fatima Hatun gasped in horror and turned to glare at her only living son. Arslan's father tried very hard to hide how proud he was of his son in front of his wife knowing she will give him hell if she knew that he was proud of their son for confronting danger straight in the face.

"I caught up to him and made him tell me who sent him, he was an easy man to break" Arslan answered shrugging. He pulled on his kaftan but opted to keep it unbuttoned seeing no reason to stand and speak with the Sultan as he buttoned up his kaftan. Arslan felt a fluttering feeling in his stomach when the beautiful smell of flower mixes whiffed into his nose, it was no doubt a woman's perfume, Mihrimah's perfume but he forced himself to stay concentrated.

"Who dared attack, my daughter?" Sultan Suleiman's blood boiled at the mere thought of a hair leaving his precious Mihrimah's hair. he had no idea how he was supposed to live when she would marry Arslan and move to another country.

"Shah Tahmasp" Arslan answered simply. Suleiman was not shocked in the least. The smirk on his face confused the women in the room however the leader of Genghis Khan understood Suleiman.
