Chapter 17

Winter's POV

Karina was busy talking to the guy named Kim Taehyung. I was just staring at her and I noticed that she kept on glancing at me, she's not okay.

When they were done settling things up, I walked to her and smiled, but she just sighed. I was about to speak to her but that Hyunjin guy dragged her away, again. I sighed.

"Bro, you okay?" I turned to look at the person beside me, and it's Ryujin. I gave her a thumbs up and she seems convinced.

"Winter right? Come with us while Karina's busy. We gotta surprise her!" Yeonjun said and I just followed them. When we entered the hotel room, I saw two girls, sitting on the sofa. They all greet each other and I was shocked at how Ningning interacted with them, feeling close.

"Hey guys! Where's Karina?" the girl with pale skin asked, she looks so shy.

"She's busy with her fiancé." Yeji said and I sighed, yup, fiancé.  I diverted my attention to Ningning and she was talking to the other girl like they've known each other. I kinda felt embarrassed, I'll just pretend that I didn't know her.

"Right Winter?" I turned to look who it was, it was Ryujin, grinning at me. I'm confused but I just nodded my head.

"Oh! You must be Winter! Karina's been talking about you everytime we're on the phone, and yup she's right, you look so attractive and.. hot. I'm Lia, nice to finally meet you." that girl named Lia stretched her hand for a handshake. I just smiled at her, still surprised at what I've just heard awhile ago. Did Karina really said that I'm attractively hot?

'Weird but yeah, that's true.'

The door opened and revealed Karina. She was surprised when she saw the two girls, sitting in front of her. The three of them hugged each other and the others cheered them.

"Surprise Jiminie! I miss you so much!" Lia said with a smile but Karina was glaring at her.

"Stop calling me that, so gross. Anyways how are you guys?" Karina said as they sat. I saw that Ryujin and friends were already leaving the room, I turned to look at Karina's direction and I saw them staring at me, I just smiled awkwardly and walked towards the door.

"Winter." I was about to step outside but I felt a pair of small hands on mine. It was Karina, it was her voice, she called me so I turned to her.

"Yeah?" she stared at me for a second then sighed.

"N-nothing. Sorry." Karina said as she let go of my hand. I smiled at her but I only received a weak smile from her.

"Okay. Just call or text me when you need something." I said and she only nodded as a response. After that, Karina went back to her friends. I glanced at her for the last time, and left.

'Why does she look so tired and exhausted?'

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Hey Winter! Come here!" Lia said in a loud voice while swimming and Winter walked towards her.

"Do you need anything Miss?" Winter asked which made Lia giggled.

"Just call me Lia, don't be so formal, it doesn't suit you." she said and chuckled. Winter nodded and stood up. She was about to walk away but Lia pulled her into the pool. Winter was shocked but the brunette was laughing.

"Swim with me! You look so cute!" Lia said as she dragged Winter to the 5 feet. Winter was kinda scared but she just ignored it. They were swimming peacefully when a sudden splash of water hit them. Lia glared at Ryujin who was grinning like a maniac.
