a few things before we begin
1 - this is *kinda* a how to train your dragon crossover. basically reader has a night fury [will be explained]. facts, some clothing and weaponry, and things about night furies from httyd will be used, but no characters from httyd will be in this.
2 - reader is the spirit of imagination and co-works winter w/ jack :) [this is MY idea. i wrote a oneshot and this story is based off that.]
3 - this is based on the movie, but jack is already a guardian. it's the reader that's in jack's position.
the aurora borealis. that's what jack frost saw as he spread winter across burgess. jack apologized to the kids he was playing with and let the wind take him to the pole, going over everything in his mind that could be wrong.
as jack flew through the air, he heard soft, high pitched whistling. he looked around quickly, seeing a black thing shooting through the air at impossible speeds for a human. jack wanted to go after it, but when it caused a purple explosion in front of it, he decided otherwise.
jack was the last one to the pole, walking in on the guardians talking nervously.
"did i miss anything?" jack asked, leaning on his staff when he reached the group. "you sure did, mate," bunny scoffed. "what happened?" jack asked.
"man in moon chose a new guardian," north smiled, glancing over to the guardian's crystal.
jack looked over, and in the light the moon caused by hitting the crystal, he saw a girl. a girl with a dragon next to her and snowflakes around her body. jack walked over, his eyes fixed on the blue figure as he leaned on his staff.
"what's her name?" jack asked. "y/n. manny says she is known by astrea amongst humans." north tilted his head, crossing his arms as he examined the girl. "what would she be guardian of?" bunny asked, shuffling over. north smiled widely, his eyes crinkling, "imagination."
jack looked back at the man, a small smile on his face.
