jack and i quickly looked over, seeing a nightmare.

avalon growled, beginning to jump out the window. i quickly grabbed jack's hand then onto her saddle, pulling jack and i onto her back as she flew after the nightmare.

"sandy! let's go!" i yelled, pulling my mask down. avalon roared as we flew a after the nightmares, jack holding onto me tightly as we dodged many trees.

the nightmares raced all around burgess, sandy quickly catching up to us. as avalon blasted a plasma ball at one of them, making it disappear, jack jumped off of her back, shooting ice at the other one.

the nightmare whinnied, quickly changing directions. jack and sandy were on top of it, though avalon and i were caught off guard.

i looked around hastily as avalon stopped flying, now just flapping her wings in place as she looked around as well.

"damnit!" i yelled, pushing my mask up. avalon groaned sadly, beginning to flying above burgess to have a better view. i sighed, "it's not your fault, avalon.." i mumbled as i patted her shoulder and pulled my mask down.

avalon and i were flying around for a while, i'd guess 30 minutes, before i heard jack's voice yell.

"NO!"

i quickly looked over, seeing a big black cloud in the sky, a smaller golden one quickly being destroyed.

"sandy..?" i mumbled.

though when i saw someone jump out of north's sleigh, my attention was quickly brought to them.

they shot ice up at pitch, showing me that it was jack.

the cloud just formed a wave, diving after jack and quickly surrounding him, circling around like a tornado.

"jack.." i whispered, urging avalon to fly over, though she stayed in place.

after a moment, light blue light showed through the mass, quickly taking it over and shooting up the wave to the main cloud, making it explode into an icy, sandy mess.

i squinted as i saw jack falling. i quickly looked over and saw the sleigh going after him.

they won't make it...

my eyes widened in fear.

i can't lose jack. he's the closest one to me..

"avalon, let's go!" i yelled, pulling my mask down and leaning into avalon, keeping my eyes on jack.

as we zipped by the sleigh, bunny yelled, "look! she's going to get him!"

i leaned back up as we got closer to jack, making sure we were going at the right speed to catch him.

right as we went under jack, he landed in front of me, semi-conscious. avalon grabbed his staff in her claws as she looked back to make sure we had him.

"gentle with that, avalon," i stated, holding jack against me as i leaned down, avalon leaning diagonal as we turned to a smaller black cloud that had been formed. pitch was standing on it, glaring at us. avalon huffed and fired a plasma ball at him, making the cloud explode and pitch fly off.

"y/n..?" jack's quiet voice mumbled. i pushed up my mask. "what are you doing?" he continued. "can't spread winter on my own, can i?," i asked with a smirk, our faces extremely close. jack just chuckled tiredly, wrapping his arms around me and digging his face into my neck.
