⇒Miroh Apartments 8:30am
It'd been just a little over two weeks, yet it felt like a month. The laughs that they shared in the nighttime, although stifled into muffled hiccups to not wake princess Bella. The conversations that they engaged in, together, to learn more about each other. More about their feelings and emotions and views on the world and all of its discussable issues.
The tears that they felt comfortable enough to share within the comfort of each other. The willingness that eased into their tongues to move to sound their concerns relating to the past, present, and future. The mindset that either could form with a little-to-no second thought, to simply be vulnerable with each other, concluding that they had nothing to lose.
Bang Chan and Lee Felix agreed that they could trust each other.
It felt unreal, almost. Every aspect of the peace that grew between them, and the warmth that waved amongst the lavender scent inside that small apartment, seemed almost... mythical. And standing there, tall before Felix's mirror, dressed in the most proper outfit that he had to his name in over a year, Chan was smiling, bright.
His white teeth appeared excited for the opportunity to gleam with such genuineness lifting their owner's cheeks. And Chan's eyes glossed, just a little bit. Either of his hands held onto the tie lining down from his neck; black, and well-ironed, notably appropriate before the baby-blue shirt that covered the other sections of Chan's torso.
"I can hardly believe that this is happening," he breathed in sharply, closing his eyes for a few seconds to keep the tears back. "Do you think that I'll actually get it, Lix? I wanna be optimistic but I-- it's just been so long, I don't know what to think--"
"Just do your best, Chan," Felix answered from the kitchen, a small smile folding the corners of his eyes, "I've seen your resumé for myself, so I'm not scared for you. Don't be too nervous, and remember that Bella and I are right behind you."
"Thank you again, Felix," Chan sighed, relieved, turning to look at Bella, swinging her legs from the edge of Felix's bed. She too had grown so comfortable in the short space of time. Grown so attached to Felix, who thankfully didn't seem to have an issue with it -- seemed to enjoy her childish affection and company, more than anything.
And neither did Chan mind their new closeness... for the most part. It was more than obvious that Bella saw several traits in the selfless blond that resembled those motherly ones of her late parent. Especially as Chan could point out some too, of what he remembered in his Isabella. But something about that was still... scary.
So Chan never found repose in himself to sit and dwell on the chances of negative effects on Bella's poor heart when they'd have to leave Felix's home for good. Of course, showing up now and then to express neverending gratitude but, still, it wouldn't be the same.
