Chapter Seven

Dove's Pov
I wasn't too sure if I was gonna be able to sit still the entire time Legolas was braiding my hair, but I sure was able to hold as still as I could with the hang over washing over me in one go.

His hands moving through my hair was almost enough to have me in such a deep sleep. My head slightly dipping for a moment, fluttering my eyes the slight lull of his hums making me wanna fall into a more blissful state.

"Love? don't fall asleep like this. It's a uncomfortable position." He reminded me a soft laugh following suit, I almost started to whine but leaned my head back for him to have easier access to my hair peeking at him through the vanity mirror seeing his focused like expression as he worked his fingers through each strand of a curl. His fingers moved so quick like with focus.

"I was thinking after this week Dove, we can head back to my kingdom and help my father clear out the rest of the forest. He's already assigned a new captain of the guard." I held back a little snort leaving me. His father I wasn't surprised was always busy and finishing things as quickly as he could.

"I think that's a good idea. Bilbo should be leaving soon. So I don't mind." I felt his hands had finally left, feeling his hands place over my shoulder before a soft kiss was pressed to my cheek feeling him smile in place.

"You are lovely... We should leave in the morning which means time for some rest." A soft snicker left me, tipping my head back to rest over the chair seeing his blue hues staring me down with such a look I had never seen before. No one had ever looked at me that way in any shape or form.

"Gimme a good night kiss and I'll sleep-" I choked over a soft snort feeling the soft pressure of his lips over my own. Snorting through it lightly, cupping at his face to bring him closer causing him to laugh in response over my lips.

"Dove please don't cause too much trouble and help around as much as you can. You can be so troublesome at times. Send a letter when you arrive." Behind Thorin, Kili was making a playfully face rolling his eyes deeply. There he goes treating me like a child like  He always did, even though I was fully courted to an elf and going through the preparations for marriage.

"Uncle you treat her like a child let her have fun with her adventures she's a bride to be, and who knows maybe there will be some dwarf/elf babies running around." A nervous laugh left me while shooting him an amused look, while he smirked my way giving Thorin a quick hug, doing the same with Kili and Fili everyone else getting a hug.

"Indeed Thorin you treat me like such a child. I'll send you a letter when we return." He smiled my way exhaling before nodding, I turned back to focus on Legolas who was making sure everything was secure over on the horse, moving the strands of all his hair and new braids out of his visions.

"Can dwarves and elves even have sex? Gonna be some trouble for Kili." I choked harshly on a soft laugh seeing the red spread across the brunette's face nudging his brother roughly.

"Ugh you guys still drive me crazy after all this time. How am I ever gonna leave this kingdom to my nephews who don't know basic anatomy."

"Excuse you!"

"I take offense!" I shook with even more laughter before tilting my head up to focus on Legolas who had crouched down next to me. A look of amusement all over his face while he spoke using his fingers to stroke over my dark brown skin.

"Anyone can have sex, and yes elf/dwarf babies can happen. I'm only a few inches taller, the same with Taruiel. As long as the seed gets inside some how." My jaw dropped at his blunt explanation, slapping at his chest causing him to laugh in defense looking back at me shrugging his shoulders back.

"What it's true." I raised my hand to smack at my face roughly a couple times.

"Alright this is more embarrassing then it needs to be, I'm going to the horse now." I exclaimed over all the loud whopping and cheering coming from around making my way over making sure my boots were tightly secure, and my own bag was I could hear Thorin loud and clearly speaking to Legolas without a second thought.

"Please watch over her, I don't doubt her skills. Dove is just a little different from us all."

"You have my word."
