In The Sky

We used to be best friends
Living carelessly
Thought we had till the very end
But now I can see.

She was only young
She had it a lot harder than me
It felt so wrong,
Burying someone you loved to see.

The beating heart outside my chest
The one who made me feel my best
Gone, to never be seen again
My heart aflame
All because of the stupid train.

If only I’d seen her pain
We could have been forever
My heart is now stained,
From not being together

All I ever do
Is leave people hurt
This feeling is so new
Maybe I should desert

Away from the chaos,
All of the anguish,
I don't want to just be embossed
On a cold grave or to be vanquished.
