Read in Landscape!!!
The student woke to aching form his body beat and hurt
Yet bandaged well in way that spoke of someone's healing work.
He gazed around to see the place in which he current laid
The second time in all his life he woke in hovel's lay.No one about him keeps this hut the walls in which he slept
No other person stood as guard from room their current left.
For moment passing man does think and knows his chance to leave
To freedoms call he hopes to go and answer quick it's heed. For sake of time before when took asleep as child on ground
That time alone a yawning tomb was thing he almost found.
So man does start to rise from bed but's stopped by searing pain
And force to lay aback on mat with wounds that work like chains. To keep him held inside this place though great his will to leave
Still hurt from hail of arrows shot his mortal form does grieve.
So down he's force to lay and wait and learn his captor's will
In hopes that man may still yet live if person gains their fillAnd seeks no great recourse from man who's current downward laid
Inside the little room he dwells no other favor gave.
And many hours waits he long with pain his daunting binds
That hold the man inside this place till finally captor findsHim woken up and bearing little strength against their will
Then would whoever brought him here an aid to man be still?
Yet only choice though very poor's the act to bide his time
And see if any words he speaks would move the heart and mindOf man who brought him down to rest from place where warrior laid
For once that man already spared his life from surest grave.
Then sudden through the door their came a maiden poor forlorn
With dirt on face and peasant's air and clothes so weary worn. She sudden stopped when seeing man her eyes now opened wide
Expecting little rouse from sleep of warrior downward lied.
Then quick on ground the serf does kneel and speaks in pausing voice
To lay before the warring man her current will and choice."My liege I bid you gentle lay and rest
Though hard your hurt and great your coming test.
Still serf is here to serve her noble sire
Though cost be great if thing is known and dire.So please I bid you stay inside my meager home
For both our sakes forestall your will to roam.
And let me nurse you back to former health
Where strength was gave in greatest bounties wealth. Before the hurt that laid you low in bed
When lieges squadron shot to render dead
The man who came on errand sent to help
The people current living deep in land now dwelt."And hearing words the noble rest to see the will of maid
To help the man who's current hurt and present sickly laid.
Then starts he quick to ask aloud what wretched deed was done
What fiend of foreign wealth and power would make this tale be spun.Beyond the pale of warring code the actions fell did fall
No warring lord of current fame would render such a call.
To slay a man that's easy claimed by lordly might and hand
No one who wields a curving blade would render such a plan."Lack of what's mercy and sudden attacks
Neither these things are the samurai path.
Tell me if ally you think of yourself
Speak of the one who has stolen my health.Hide from me nothing and keep no alarm
Tell me what's truth so I'm better to harm
One who has hurt and injured this land
Owned by the lordship of Samurai clan."Then hearing words the maiden swiftly breaks her eyes from liege
And downward looks to show a face for long that's greatly grieved
That told the man of many hurts that all who felt were made
To live beneath their current liege and do as man had bade.
