It was bad enough that Aaron had been tricked by Alex, but the more he got to know the other young man the more he realized how horrible this whole situation actually was. Alex had "forgotten" to mention that he was the prince of the angels. He'd had more than enough authority to kill Aaron when he found him.
Adopted, but that part wasn't shared.
"I suppose it just happened to slip my mind, a crazy, random happenstance on my part-"
"You're such an a*shole." Aaron growled, "this isn't fair, you can't keep me here. The entire point of our deal was to make it so you wouldn't take me to the castle."
"Now that's not what you said. You said you didn't want to be taken before the king, well I'm not taking you before the king. In fact, I was planning on sneaking you in through my bedroom window, so no one would know of your presence in the castle. Isn't that what you want?"
Aaron glared, "I want to go back."
Alex huffed, "so I've heard. It's too late now. As you put it, the deal has been made." Using Aaron's own words to taunt him was not helping his attitude in this situation. "I hope you aren't afraid of heights."
"Afraid of-" Aaron had peeled his eyes off of the castle, looking at Alex with a questioning stare. "What do you mean?"
"Well I'm going to take the front door and you're going to have to climb up to the window." He shrugged and put his hands in his front pants pockets. "It'll be better that way."
"What?" Aaron gaped for a moment before slightly shaking his head. "Why can't you just fly me up there? I'm going to look like I'm breaking in. What if someone sees me?"
"They won't," Alexander waved one hand dismissively. "Besides, you're a demon aren't you? You climbed out of Hell I'm sure you can climb in through my window."
"It's on, like, the fifth floor! You have to be joking," he was astounded that this was Alex's desire for him to get in. "And I didn't climb out of Hell, that's not how it works-"
"Doesn't matter, I have to make an appearance or everyone's going to be looking for me. I don't want anyone coming to my area of the castle. So good luck climbing the castle," he snickered.
Alex had turned and begun walking and Aaron fumbled on his words slightly to quickly protest. "No wait, you can't do this. It's so high up and you've already trapped me here. Why can't you just fly me up and then come back down?"
"Because that's a serious waste of energy when you're perfectly capable of clambering up the wall-"
Aaron interrupted Alex while he was talking, "and if I won't?"
"You have to," Alex stopped and looked back at Aaron. "You don't exactly have a choice. You're breaking my deal if you don't answer my questions and you can't exactly answer my questions if you can't hear them." He smirked, "I'll meet you up there."
Aaron gaped for a moment as Alex walked away. He was a nightmare, this angel was a nightmare and a holy terror. Glancing to the window so high up, the demon frowned. "... You've got to be f*cking kidding me," he mumbled under his breath before sighing. After a solid second of acknowledging his defeat, he began climbing. Alex was lucky he was right in that they were especially good at climbing, more specifically lesser demons like himself.
It took what felt like hours to get up there. Aaron panted as he reached the window sill and pulled himself up. He groaned as he rolled into the room and flipped on the floor. Laying like that, Alex spoke to him. "Wow, you took forever. I thought you were never coming. When I got in here you were only halfway. I've been waiting forever."
