I sighed and drug my finger across the screen of my phone laying back in bed I couldn't help my mind racing back to the events of the last week...
running into Jax......having a dead body on my floor....boy oh boy....
I groaned as I got outta my bed digging in the chair in my room for a semi clean hoodie after finding a suitable one I make my way to the kitchen after scrolling tiktok and other social media I find myself facing my phones call screen

Emily : hey mom what's going on?
Emily's mom : oh nothing same old same old I was gonna ask how classes are going?
Emily : pretty good the biology is kinda hard tho ...
Emily's mom : well im sure you can figure it out sweetie you've always been bright
Emily : thanks mom how is your husband
Emily's mom : he is good I was actually wondering if you can stop by and see him at work and give him that book of mine you borrowed I need it back today
Emily : of course mom I'll talk to you later
Emily's mom : bye honey

    I hung up and then proceeded to flip my phone off mom always wanted me to get along with hale but I just didn't he was very strict and always wanted to "change my ways " as he put it I decided to make a coffee to go as to get the day over with I popped my k pod into the machine and waited for all the little wonderfull nosies to tell me coffee would soon be in my hands and went to get dressed I wore a black and floral design dress that hit below my knees and a black cardigan with some black sandels I didn't even touch my hair I grabbed a bag shoving my mom's book and my wallett inside and grabbed my coffee then I was out my door and down the steps

                     I walked in the door and walked down the halls till I came to hales office I knocked and walked in he looked up at me and nodded.
" hey hun your mom said you'd be by "
I nodded " yeah she let be barrow her copy of "the great gastby " for a English paper I told her I'd bring it back she said to leave it with you "
he nodded and leaned back in his chair
" so the insurance company called said you hit a parking pole ? "
I nodded slowly " yep ...but I payed for the repair and when the new quote comes in let me know how much I owe goes up "
he stood and came around his desk his tone much more father like as he spoke 
" you had repairs done at teller marrow? "
I could feel my chest expand and my arms go cold with adrenaline
" yep ... good prices " he nodded and sighed
" Emily I want to look out for you ...you know you can come to me with anything ....right ...? "
  I nodded my feet shifting nervously
" right I just was a clutz ..I got it fixed no biggie "
....he looked like he wanted to believe me
" right well you better get going I'll ask your mom about maybe all of us getting lunch ?"
I was already out the door before throwing a
" okay" over my shoulder.

             As I walked out to my truck I felt relieved as I slid into the driver's seat my head hit the steering wheel before I pumped myself up and drove over the grocery store
