STAY HUMAN

PROLOGUE

The year 2022 is the year that an all-out war broke out in Europe between two races, Humans and Anthros. Within two years into the conflict, the European nations comprising Germany, Poland, Italy, France and many others fell to the anthro war machine with lightning speed. The conflict's casualties were in the millions, mostly among the human civilians. The majority of the war was fought in northern France, in the east on the anthro-occupied polish border against the Russian Federation and to the south in the Mediterranean. With the help of other nations such as Canada, China, the United Kingdom and the United States, the human race could finally turn the tides of war and got themselves onto mainland Europe with a major d-day like Operation called  Operation high King. Another two years have passed and the anthros realized with the combined efforts of the human nations they had no chance of winning. With the thought of losing the war, the anthro race would need to find a way to turn the war around fast. The answer to their problem was building a bio-weapon that could be released on the frontlines to help them succeed. 

The year is now 2027 a contagious flu-like virus was secretly released into the frontline, infecting human soldiers and civilians. the intent was to infect the human population to relieve the pressure on the frontlines and a severe pandemic would mean pulling resources off the frontline to deal with the viral chaos. The bioweapon was a success and it worked, but not as they expected.

The Virus got people sick of course, but it began to turn humans into deadly infectious creatures. The virus was supposed to bring down their enemy into a state of disarray, instead, they created a new enemy, an enemy that shows no fear or mercy and hunger for flesh. After four months when the virus was released it plunged Human and Anthro kind into chaos causing millions of people to get infected within the four months of it being released. Luckily enough when anthros get infected with the virus they don't turn into flesh-eating monsters, their symptoms resemble a severe case of the generic flu and it can be cured within a few days. Soon after the virus was named The Necroa Virus because of its ability to turn humans into zombies.

With a growing number of infected in Europe, the anthros had no choice but to isolate their cities with gigantic walls and form "colonies" to shield their civilization from the horrors that they created.

Meanwhile, The humans had to evacuate Europe of all military personnel along with the remaining civilian population. To avoid further spread of the newly discovered threat, the British isle became the last bastion in western Europe, it eventually fell due to the virus making its way into London by infected refugees from mainland Europe causing the fall of the united kingdom.

After the fall of western Europe, the Asian countries begin to fall one by one as well.  A few months later every nation on earth succumbed to the virus. Human civilization is now in ruins rotting away with infected monsters roaming around looking for its next meal.

Soon after the fall of human civilization the Necroa Flu Virus mutated over time and create new types of monsters but with the mutations, the virus became very intolerant of UV light. The intolerance of UV light causes the ones that mutated, to have their flesh burn upon direct contact with UV/sunlight making them avoid daytime or areas with UV light by staying in the shadows.

UV light had another helpful effect, it also helped people from turning, by standing in UV light while being infected the virus can't take control. The person needs the UV light to keep that effect to survive and with that, there lies a problem and that problem is the shortage of UV lights if you're unfortunate enough to yourself infected and without a UV light you might as well kiss your humanity goodbye.

The year is finally 2032 it's been 5 years since the first case of Necroa Flu was discovered and the World is in ruins with only a handful of human settlements remaining. There is now only one rule in this new world that is laid before the human race.
