"MARCY!" Sasha yelled.

No this can't be happening. King Andrias didn't just drive a flaming sword through Marcy's chest. Marcy didn't use her last words to apologize. Marcy didn't collapse onto the floor. Anne and the portal didn't disappear. NONE OF THIS SHOULD BE HAPPENING!

"Marcy... " Sasha gasped, watching helplessly as King Andrias loomed unapologetically over Marcy's body.

"Sasha, we have to go." Grime whispered.

"I have to save her. " Sasha said.

"Lieutenant.. " Grime urged.

"I have to try. "

Sasha bolted across the room, ducking between some frobots that loomed over Marcy's limp form. Normally Sasha wouldn't stand a chance, but she had the element of surprise. Andrias scowled at her, but Sasha didn't give him a chance to attack her.

Sasha scooped up Marcy and dodged more frobots, running straight over to a window and jumping out. Sasha clutched Marcy as she fell, then she slammed into something hard. She opened her eyes and saw an annoyed Grime, who was struggling to steer Joe Sparrow.

"Do you realize how stupid that was?! " Grime snapped.

"I got her." Sasha said breathlessly.

Grime's face softened, "I know how much she means to you.. "

"Sash.. " A quiet voice rasped.

"Marcy?" Sasha gasped, looking down at Marcy, who she was still cradling.

"I'm so sorry... Tell Anne I'm sorry." Marcy said quietly.

"Don't say that. You're gonna be ok. " Sasha said, hoping to believe it too.

"I'm so sorry.. "

"I know.. Stay awake, Marce, we're gonna get you to Wartwood and you're gonna be ok. Please just stay awake. "

"Cold.. " Marcy mumbled, leaning into Sasha.

Sasha did her best to take off her cape while still holding Marcy, then she wrapped it gently around her.

"Please don't die, Marcy... I love you." Sasha whispered, her voice cracking.

Wartwood approached in the distance, and Marcy's eyelids began to droop.

"Marcy, no you gotta stay awake!" Sasha panicked.

"So cold... " Marcy whispered.

"I know, we're almost there you gotta hang on for me ok? Stay awake for me. " Sasha  said firmly.

Joe Sparrow landed and Sasha jumped down. The townsfolk crowded around, asking questions about the castle and where Anne was, but the questions died down when they saw Marcy.

"Get me Maddie Flour!" Sasha yelled, thinking of the curse using frog Marcy had told her about.

"What happened to her?" Maddie asked, running over.

"The King's fire sword. Please help her.. " Sasha pleaded.

"Come with me."
