Sasuke, filled with hatred, was in the middle of battling his brother, Itachi, the one who took everything away from him, his parents, clan members, everybody, leaving him the only survivor, of a dreadful massacre. All of a sudden, Itachi started weakening, coughing up blood, and Sasuke saw this as his chance. Just as Sasuke was about to finish Itachi off, Sasuke heard what sounded like a child crying, and when he turned around, he saw Shisui, who looked like he was ready to fight, while shielding Izumi, and she was holding what looked like about a one year old baby. The baby had short black hair, and brownish blackish eyes, and was wearing clothes with the Uchiha symbol on it. Sasuke didn't quite understand, but then the baby screamed and cried while crying out one word;

"Pwapa!" Sasuke immediately stopped his attack on Itachi, seeing a younger him, crying out for his parents while Itachi was about to kill them.

Itachi quickly attempted to get up, but failed, as Sasuke just stared blankly at the two other adults and the young child. Itachi begged Sasuke to listen to him, and Sasuke, still angry, agreed, though quite hesitant. Itachi then went on to explain his reasons for massacring the entire clan, and once done, Shisui and Izumi quickly ran to Itachi while Sasuke was standing there, stupefied at what he had just heard and learned. Shisui was now shielding both Itachi and Izumi holding the child, ready for another attack, but was surprised when Sasuke slowly backed down, as that was not usually in Sasuke's nature to do.

"Sasuke, I know what I did left you heartbroken, but I did it to protect you, cause like I said years ago; No matter what happens, your big brother will always protect you (what he said the night Naruto's parents died)." Itachi slowly said, still trying to hold on to life as Izumi tended to his wounds with one hand, while still holding her baby in the other, seemingly unwilling to let him go.

"I-I-I," was all Sasuke could muster out, and just then, Naruto, Sakura, and a few other friends had come to see what all the fuss was about.

As soon as they saw Itachi laying on the ground, beaten almost to death while Shisui was shielding him, they understood, but then they heard the baby cry and Izumi tending to him, then they were confused, but with surprised expressions on all their faces. Naruto quickly ran over to Sasuke, and pulled him into a hug, although Sasuke still just stood there motionless. All of a sudden, Sasuke started...crying... to everyone's shock. Sasuke was getting flashbacks to when his parents were murdered right infront of him, and then looked at the baby boy, still crying in Izumi's arms. He slowly got up and walked towards the couple and their friend and the little child. Shisui was prepared to attack, but Sasuke just walked past him, Izumi holding her baby close as Sasuke leant down in front of his brother, but instead of what everyone expected, he leaned into his brother and gave him a hug. Everyone stared blankly at Sasuke's actions, as Sasuke countless times was muttering things under his breath nobody could understand. He then ordered Sakura to heal Itachi's wounds while still clinging to his brother. Sakura did as he wanted and started to heal Itachi's wounds, while Sasuke still clung to him. Naruto eventually got Sasuke to let go, as Sakura still had quite aways to go in the healing, and Sasuke just kept saying things nobody understood, while Naruto held him. Once Itachi was somewhat okay and was able to stand up, Izumi gave him his child so that he could stop crying, as they could tell he wanted his papa. The baby almost immediately stopped crying, happy to be back in his papa's arms, now giggling and laughing, just as Sasuke did in Itachi's arms.

After a while and a long (like really long) conversation, they went to one of the old Akatsuki hideouts that was abandoned, as they didn't want any of the other members to see them (the Akatsuki allowed Shisui and Izumi to be in their group as they were a key to a valuable member, Itachi). Sasuke gave what seemed like his own version of an apology, as apologies were not his strong suit, but Itachi took it, knowing he probably won't get anything much better.

"I-I-Is th-that m-my," Sasuke finally started, staring at the baby in Itachi's arms.

"Yes, this is your nephew, Kazuya." Itachi finished for him. Itachi saw something different in Sasuke's eyes, he saw something along the lines of happiness.

"You want to try and hold him?" Itachi asked. Everyone was surprised by this question, as they didn't think anyone would trust Sasuke to hold their child, more or less their baby! Izumi was a little on edge by this question, but at the end of the day, that was Kazuya's uncle. Sasuke slowly nodded, and Itachi slowly handed him the little boy. The baby woke up in an unfamiliar set of arms, but didn't start crying.

"Kazuya, this is your uncle Sasuke." Itachi said. The baby looked back up at the man holding him, and slowly nuzzled his little head into Sasuke's chest and slowly fell asleep.
