The boy grew up relatively happy with his new family, and at a young age, made a very good friend, and they grew up together, and both of them developed a passion for ice skating, especially the boy, but when he was just six years old, as he was crying for getting picked on for being "chubby", his eyes turned red, and his pupils took on a different shape. The kids who were picking on him looked in terror at his eyes and ran away, and his eyes went right back to normal as his friend, Yuko, came to help him. She was confused as to why the bullies ran off, but didn't question it, and went back to helping her friend. Over time this would happen again and again, but neither Yuri nor Yuko noticed, cause it would only be for a few seconds, and then disappear. They never let that bother them though, and continued to be great friends.
