(Y/n) POV:

Tonight was open night of my first ever broadway show. I had acted in movies and tv shows before but this was the first broadway musical I've done. I was starting in the play Newsies as Jack Kelley.

Lizzie and my family were sitting in the audience somewhere. I think they were either in the middle or in the opera boxes. I don't quite remember.

"Starting in five!" The director called out as I was getting my makeup finished. Stage hands were moving left and right as I put the final touches on my costume.

"Places everyone!" The director shouted. We all made our way to the stage and took our places behind the curtain. The audience was silent, waiting for the curtain to open again.

I took my spot and waited for my cue. I took my place on the stage soon after and started my lines.

"How much?" I asked in character and got my newspapers. "Fifty cents." The man responded. I grumbled and slammed fifty cents on the table before walking off.

A few minutes later the first song started. I sang my parts with Crutchy. Jack wants to go to Santa Fe instead of staying in New York.

"Hey, nobody worries about no gimp leg in Santa Fe, you just hop a palomino, riding in style. Hey I bet a few months of clean air you can toss that crutch for good!" I recited my lines before Crutchy joins in the song.

The first song ended and the lights dimmed again as we took our new places.

An hour later the first half was over and the curtains closed for intermission.

"Alright! You guys are doing great! Keep up the good work!" The director announced. We all cheered and got some water before taking a few minutes to rest from all that dancing.

"On in five!" The main stage hand called out to me. I gave him a thumbs up and stood up. When I got to my station where I was supposed to go back on the curtains opened.

I started reciting my lines again as I walked with two other actors. The police warden came after us and we all ran while the fight started. I ran off stage so they could switch it back to the next set.

Another song started and I got up where I was supposed to before singing. Once again Jack wants to go to Santa Fe.

By the end of the show I was so tired and so sweaty. It was now time for curtain call and I waited for my cue to go on stage. As the cheers got louder I was sent out.

I ran out on stage and to the middle and did a flip for pizazz. I took my hat off and bowed while everyone cheered. I waved to the crowd once I finished my bow and the cast walked off the stage. People started getting out of their seats and leaving at this point.

I changed my clothes and packed up for the day before the cast had celebrated with each other for a successful night. We were all excited to do it again tomorrow night.

"You guys can go now! Get some rest and get ready for tomorrow!" The director told us all before letting us go.

I walked out of the back door and into the theater hallway. I walked over to the back exit and saw Lizzie and my family waiting by the doors.

Lizzie's eyes lit up as she saw me and ran over to give me a hug. "Babe you were absolutely amazing! I'm so proud of you! That was so good!" Lizzie squealed while wrapping her arms around me even tighter. "Thank you!" I mumbled into her shoulder. Once we pulled apart she slammed her lips on mine and we spent a solid minute kissing before my sister coughed awkwardly. "I get that your married but we're here too. Come give us love too bro." My brother joked.

"Oh hey guys!" I waved jokingly and went to go give them hugs. "You were amazing." My sister told me just before we hugged. "That was awesome." My dad agreed. My mom just nodded and gave me a bone crushing hug. "Mom let him breathe! He needs to be here tomorrow too." My sister told my mom, earning laughs from the rest of my family. She let me go but not before kissing my cheek.

"Okay, you two pose for a picture!" My mom told me and Lizzie. We both smiled as she took a picture of us on her phone. "And now one with your brother and sister and dad!" Mom said again. They got in the photo too and Lizzie got out. "I'll take it, you get in there too. A family picture." She offered. "Thank you, but you are apart of the family too." My mother told her as she got in the photo. "Smile!" Lizzie said as we all smiled for the camera. Once we were done taking photos we finally left.

We all went out to dinner to celebrate the first successful show. As the play went on more shows kept being added and Lizzie went to almost every single one. She definitely is my number one fan.

(Kind of in a broadway phase right now but enjoy!)
