Chapter 2

I break eye contact with him and go back to the box of records. After I was done with them I walked to the front of the record store where Joni was. " Hey, sis you need something?" Joni says. I look at her and say " No, I'm just bored." I feel eyes looking at me, so I turn around and see the guy I was making eye contact with when he walked in. " So did you finish with the records?" she says, I turn back to look at Joni and just nod my head. I look at the loudmouth named Wildflower and see that she is talking to one of the guys that walked into here with the one that keeps looking at me. I look back to Joni and see that she is smirking at something, so I follow her eyes and see she's looking at the other guy that is taller than the other two. " Come on let's go over there," Joni says, I look over at her like she's crazy and before I could say no, she grabs my hand and we start walking toward them. " Hey, there are my two favorite sisters," WildFlower says. " Flower, we are your only sisters," I say. " So who are these handsome men?" Joni says I look at her like she is crazy for saying that to these three strangers. " Well, this is Josh, Sam, and Jake," she says pointing at all of them, and the one that I had made eye contact with was named Jake. " Nice to meet you," Joni says. Flower and Joni were looking at me, I look up at them, " What?" I say in a puzzled tone. Then I realize they want me to say hello to these cute strangers. Did I just say, cute strangers? well, they are and I may have one in imparticular that I like. " H-hello," Jake just laughed a little. " You good there? 'm sorry I didn't get your name." He says with his sexy raspy voice that makes me want him to pull me in and kiss me, I blush at the thought. "M-my name is Sawyer," dammit why do I keep stuttering when it comes to him, I just frecking met the man! he just smiles and he says, "That's a pretty name, Sawyer." I blush again, what the hell is he doing to me. " The weight" by The Band, starts to play and the guy named Josh says, " I have to say you ladies have good taste in music because the songs that I have heard when we walked in here we phenomenal." Flower, Joni, and I all high-five. " Thanks," we all say in unison. " This is the music we grew up with," Joni says. " So do you guys all own it or do you all just work here?" Sam says he also has a raspy voice. " Yeah, Flower, Joni, and I all own, "Into the Mystic Records," I say proudly.

We all talked for about an hour or so. " Well, we better close up." WildFlower says, " Yeah," Joni and I say. Us and the boys walk out and I lock up behind me. " You got it, sis?" Joni says, " Yeah, it's all locked up." I say and start walking with them to our cars. I reach my car and so do the girls, which is surprising because they were talking to the boys. When Sam says, " Hey do you ladies want to hang out with us?" I look at the girls who were already looking at me. I smirk and say, " What the hell, let's do it!" " But the most important thing is before we can join you, is are you guys going to murder us?" Joni says, Sam laughs a little, " No," they all say at the same time. I start to laugh my butt off because they all look a little worried because of what I said and I think it's a little funny and cute at the same time. " Well, you guys want to hang out, then where are we going?" Flower says. I look at Jake and he starts to walk toward me. He comes close to my ear, " You want to go to a diner with me?" he says in a cute tone. He backs up a little so now we are face to face with each other. " Will it just be us alone?" I say making eye contact with him while biting my bottom lip. He breaks the eye contact to look at me biting my lip, he groans and that's the exact reaction I wanted out of him from me. " Yes it will, but if you keep bitting your lip we just will skip the diner and go straight to my hotel room." God, what is this man doing to me, my legs are turning into jello. " Hey guys, Sawyer and I are going to hang out together," Jake says to the others. " Ok, just be careful and take good care of my sister or you are dead Jacob!" Joni says Me, Josh, and Sam start to laugh our butts off. " I will I promise," he says in an assuring tone. Jake then turns back towards me, " Keys?" he says, like hell, I'm going to give him my keys to my baby! " No, way in hell I'm going to give you my keys to my precious baby!" I say. Jake laughs and I give him the stink eye, " Pleases, I will take good care of her, and plus you will also be in the car." Jake says in a baby voice, " Fine, but just know that I hate this and you." I say, I hand him the keys and get into the passenger seat, while he gets into the driver's seat. Jake starts the car and we head off. " Do you even know where you're going?" I say, he turns his head turned me and says, " Yes, I do, thanks for asking." " Just happy to help," I give him a smirk.

We pull up to the diner and it's the one that I usually go to so they all know me. We hope out and Jake holds open the door, what a gentleman. I walk in and Mrs. Morison sees me and she speed walks toward me and gives me a big bear hug and I love it. " Hey sweety, how have you been?" she says. We break away from the hug and I look at the short little old woman in front of me and smile, but then again I can't call her short because we are the same height 5 1/2 ft tall. " Oh, I've been good, I just got off from working at the record store." " Oh, how are your sisters, they don't really come here unless you are here." Mrs. Morison says, " They are good, nothing has changed, and if something does I will make sure to tell you." I say, " I will hold you to that, oooooo and who is this handsome young man?" Mrs.Morison says to Jake. " Hello, my name is Jacob, but you can call me Jake." he says, " And what are you doing with my Sawyer?" she says, Jake is smiling and man let me tell you he has a beautiful fucking smile. " Oh, I wanted to take her out on a date," he says. Wait, did he just say date!? oh my god, I think I'm going to pass out. " Ooo so you guys are dating, Sawyer why haven't I been informed you were seeing someone and why haven't you come here with Jake, I am offended." She says, Jake just laughs, " No, Mrs. Morison we are not dating-" " Yet," he says interrupting me, " I just met him today and he wanted to take me out." I say, " Oh, well I will just leave you two kids alone now." She says and gives me and Jake a hug and walks off. We get seated in a booth and I grab the menu even though I already know want I am getting, but I'm just nervous ok. " So, what is your favorite color?" he says, I laugh, " Why are you laughing?" He looks at me with a puzzled look on his face. " Because that's the most basic question to ask someone on a date." That makes Jake start laughing. " Sorry, I'm not good at this," he says. I have a confused look on my face because how is he not good at this, he is a fucking hot piece of ass! " What do you mean you're not good at this?" I say to him, " Well, I don't usually ask people out, it's just usually the girl wants to fuck and go, kind of situation." he says, " Ohh, well to answer your question my favorite color is green." "That's a good color," he says. " Do you play an instrument?" I say to him, he looks at me and smiles. " I play piano, drums, bass, harmonica, and guitar. " he says, " Do you play any instruments?" " I actually do, I play piano, guitar, saxophone, and harmonica as well," I say with a smile on my face because I actually like this, it's fun. " Ooo, that's hot!" he says in a hot raspy voice. I blush, after that Erica who is our waitress comes to our table, " What would you guys like to eat?" " I would like a cheeseburger, with a spirit please." Jake says, " I would like my usual, Erica." I say, "Ok coming right up!" She walks away and Jake turns to look at me again. He is smiling and he looks like he is in deep thought. " Whatcha liking about, Jakey?" I say, " Oh, just how beautiful this girl I met is" "and that girl is you if you didn't get it!" he says really fast so I guess I didn't get sad? A couple of minutes later Erica comes back with our food. " Here is your guy's food, enjoy!" she says, " Thanks, Erica!" She walks away, " Soo, that's what you get?" Jake says looking at my food, " Yes, I get waffles with a lot of whip cream and ice tea, it's my favorite." He laughs and we start to dig into our food.
