feel's like a river's rushing through my mind
you knock on the door to dawn winery, and diluc answers
"..good afternoon." he shows you inside and you go inside.
"so.. where are we supposed to train?" you ask. there doesn't seem to be a place to train?
he says nothing but leads you upstairs, and inside a large room.
i wanna ask you
"first, i want to see your skills with that polearm of yours."
you nod, nervous with his fiery gaze on you.
you take it out and perform some basic skills first, then show off your favorite moves.
he watches you silently, and unreadable expression on his face.
after finishing, you grip your weapon anxiously.
if this is all just in my head
"you're very good. i'm impressed."
you try to hide your smile, proud that diluc complimented you.
that smile...
"here, take this sword. it's been a while since i also wielded one, so don't worry about advantages."
you accept the sword, figuring a good grip, when diluc appears close to your face.
luckily, you noticed just in time to block him.
"always be on your guard."
you scowled and pushed him off, before striking yourself.
he easily blocked it, taking a stab at you. parrying it, you struck diluc with the flat end of the sword.
my heart is pounding tonight
he wastes no time and continues to corner you.
as you search for a way out while blocking diluc's attacks, he stabs the sword into the wall,
grabbing your wrists so you can't attack.
"h-hey!" you look away, as diluc is inches away from your face, his hot breath against your cheek.
sweat trickled down his face. he stared at you for a moment before finally letting go.
i wonder
"you did good... but be aware of your surroundings, as well."
you nod slowly.
"hmm.. it's gotten late. i don't want you walking to the city alone."
wiping your forehead, you look out the window.
"I'm not defenseless, you know.."
the two of you walk downstairs, where dinner awaited.
