Ruhi Singhania:

" And what about your family?"

This question hit me. I have prepared myself for this question because I knew, he would surely ask it. Afterall, that's a basic thing.

" They died, 10 years ago, in a car accident." I looked at his dad, who was having a face of pity and guilt. This expression, those eyes of pity. I was well aware of them. I have seen them everywhere. They were the main reason why I stopped beleiving in everyone. But now I felt, they too are human. And until they have what I don't, they won't understand me.

The only one who knows me from my soul could understand me like Advik did. That's the reality.

" I am sorry, I didn't knew."

" You don't have to be uncle." Advik's mother came and kept coffee on the table and sat down beside Uncle.

" Where's the maid I hired last time?" Advik asked.

" Oh right. Mom again fired her." Varsha said.

" Why? What happened now?" Advik asked confused. He took the glass of water and took a sip.

" Because she broke a glass while washing it. And do you know what, she gave her the pay of three months then fired her." Varsha said laughing.

" What? Mom? Again?" Advik seethed angrily. And she just ignored him. He huffed and again drank his water and I took the coffee in my hand.

" When do you both plan to marry?" I was looking at my phone which was ringing continuously but me paying no heed to it, still taking in what he said. My hand was in mid air. I snapped my head to look at him and blinked nervously.

Somebody coughed. I again didn't pay any heed to it. My mind was in a fight inside of what to reply.

Again coughed.

I snapped my head to my right and saw Advik coughing very badly keeping the glass of water aside. I came out in the real world and kept my phone and cup on the table and patted his back.

" Are you all right?" I said when he calmed down.

" Dad!" He whined.

He is alright.

I again looked down and my phone was not there. I looked at my right, Varsha talking on it.

Thanks to heavens she did that or Ahaana would have laughed her ass off.

" What? Do you both don't want to get married?" His dad again said making me see directly at him.

" I want to bu-" Advik stopped mid sentence. I looked at him and he had closed his eyes frustrated. He didn't know if I wanted that or not, so he didn't wanted to force me. I just know that.

" I do want to marry him. It's only him that I want to marry." I said and I can feel his eyes on me. " But not now. I have so much on my plate. I think atleast for the coming 9 months, I am going to be very busy."

" It's alright. That is a decision that shouldn't be made in haste. Take your time." His mother said and I looked at him. He mouthed me a thank you and I smiled at him.

" Umm...can I get a glass of water?" I was hell thirsty right now.

" Oh yeah. One second. It was Ahaana" Varsha said standing up and handing me my phone.

" Bring one glass for me too." Advik said.

" You have it." She said pointing to the glass of water.

" He just choked in it." His mom said laughing and Varsha too joined her.
