Chapter 20: All over again

Advik Khanna:

" It seems Chandigarh isn't planning to leave us."

" What?"

" Ahaana and Shravan had fixed the date for their engagement."

" Really? When?" She asked sitting up straight.

" 12th Jan." I mumbled grabbing her by her wrist as she again laid beside me.

I came here in the morning at 10 because she wasn't picking up my calls and when I reached here, she was sleeping peacefully but after some minutes she started having nightmare. From then it's been half an hour and we are in the blanket. In this cold weather who would want to get out.

" That's so early. When did they decide? And when will they prepare for it."

" They decided it a week ago but Ahaana forgot to tell us. And she is coming here today."

" Today?" She again sat up straight. I huffed and sat up straight too.

" And why the fuck I didn't knew?"

" She told me last night."

" This woman. She didn't tell her friends about her engagement. What a friend!" I chuckled slightly.

" Shravan will also come today. He will go to Delhi tomorrow or maybe day after tomorrow."

" Ohh. I am excited then."

" Well, now will you tell me why did you slept in."

" I had a little drink yesterday and I was working at night too, so I slept late."

" And about your nightmares. Aren't they being frequent?" She looked down at our entangled fingers.

" I was having them until ten years ago. I daily had them. Then I went to a counselling session. After that, I rarely had them. Now they are again coming."

" Do you again want to go to counselling session?"

" I don't. I have already done them once. And if it will be necessary, I will see that."

" Okay. Oh well, you know that your kitchen is whole empty right?"

" Oh yeah. I was going to do grocery shopping today."

" You are so careless, you should go for grocery shopping frequently." I said laying back.

" You didn't just call me careless."

" I did." She glared at me.

" You look cute when you are angry."

" You! First you call me careless then cute when angry. That's good then. You're gonna see my cute side the whole day then. How does that sound Mr. Khanna?" She scoffed lightly and stood up from the bed walking to her closet and taking out her clothes.

" Hey you can't do that. I didn't say that I like that side of yours no I mean I do." She walked to the washroom but turned to me.

" You have a whole day to decide." And slammed the door on my face. I took a sigh and went into the kitchen to make coffee. Atleast she had coffee for her in the kitchen and milk wasn't necessary because she likes Black coffee.

When I was done with it, I took the two cups to her room. Hearing the sound of shower, I kept her cup on a table. I looked at a book kept on the table so I grabbed it and started reading it.

After some minutes the shower turned off and she came outside in a bathrobe. " Ruhi, I kept your coffee at the table."

She ignored my statement and walked to her closet. Taking out a packet of sanitary napkin she went inside again.
