Wrists dyed Red
Eyes lay lifeless
Parents panicked
Paramedics rushing
All repeating
A dead child's name
Child smiles
Their eyes shift closed
Whispering of
The dead men's woes
"Oh if, oh if
You listened
To me
You'd still hear
Your baby breathe"
Mother hears
And sheds her tears
Now knowing
Her baby's sorrow
All the sniffles
And cries at night
All from her baby
Trying to see the light
Too late now mother dearest
Child's life now it's sheerest
