Chapter 2

A few weeks later Kyle had to go back for boot camp. I decided I'd go with him, so I could catch up with JJ, Jaymi and Josh, which I now knew as Triple J. We were staying in a hotel, and had to share a room with two beds because we couldn't afford separate rooms.

When we got to the hotel we brought in our bags and I got changed. I text Jaymi to say I was at the hotel and waited for a reply. A while later my I heard my phone

From: Jaymi

we've just arrived, room 208 if you want to come over

I read. They were staying in the same hotel. "Kyle I'll be back in a while, I have my phone if you need me" I shouted to him as I closed the door. I quickly found the room and knocked on the door. An excited Jaymi answered and gave me a tight hug. I hadn't seen them since the auditions, but we text each other often and have become close. I hugged Josh next, JJ was I the bathroom fixing his hair, so I left him to it. "how have you been?" Josh asked as I sat down beside him. "Alright, I've been working a lot, how are you" "just busy rehearsing"

Just as Josh had finished speaking, JJ came rushing out of the bathroom. "Chrissy" he squealed and jumped onto my knees hugging me tightly. "Ah, JJ any chance you'd get up, you're kind of hurting me" I said laughing. He stood up and sat down the opposite side of me. "I missed you so much" he smiled. "JJ we've spoken once in person, how can you miss me that much?" I asked curiously. "Well you're like a best friend now" he winked. How can he be so attached to someone he's only met once? I questioned myself.

"Anyway, how about you sing for me?" I had only watched their audition on YouTube and thought it was amazing, and really wanted to hear them in person. "Am, how about no" Jaymi said. "aw, why not" I pleaded. "Because I hate singing for people" He replied and Josh nodded in agreement. "Hang on, so you hate sining for people, but you're doing Xfactor?" I questioned."we just don't like sining to people we know, it could make their opinion of us change" Josh said. "Come on, I'm your friend, I promise I won't judge you on it" I said. They all shook their heads, apart from JJ, who I guess didn't mind sining for people. "ok, it's fine, anyway I better go, Kyle will be looking for me" I said walking towards the door. JJ shot over to open the door, "how about you come back after we've sang for the judges" he smiled. I nodded and made my way back to my room. Kyle was gone, to practice I presumed so I took out my phone and went on twitter. I wished I could tell people I was at Xfactor, but I couldn't. I opened my mentions and read though a few messages from my friends. They were all asking was I going shopping with them today. 'Sorry can't I'm busy' I replied to them all before locking my phone and falling back onto my bed. We were only here an hour and I was already bored. I put on the tv and watched Jeremy Kyle for a while, laughing at the stupid accusations some people made about each other. When I got bored I decided to go for a walk, I guessed Triple J an Kyle would be getting ready to sing for the judges again, if they hadn't already. I grabbed my phone from the bed and the keys for our room then threw on a hoodie and left the hotel. I didn't really know where I was going, so I just walked and looked around. I found a park not too far away and went in. There was people playing football on the field and small children playing in the playground.I smiled as I watched the small children, I always loved small kids, they reminded me of when I was younger and everything was so much easier. I continued walking for another hour or two until it began to get dark, then made my way back to the hotel. Kyle was in our room and looked happy "how'd it go?" I asked. "Good, I got through to tomorrow" he replied with a grin. "Well done, I'm glad. You didn't hear how Triple J did no?" I wondered. He shook his head "Not sure there was two groups with three members, but I only seen one and they looked happy enough. How do you know them anyway?" he asked smirking. "Just bumped into them at the auditions and wished them luck, I might go see them now, if you don't mind" I explained. "Go on, not that I have a choice" "bye" I said walking quickly to the door. "have fun" he winked as i was leaving.

I found the boys room and knocked on the door. There was no answer but I could hear noises inside. "Jaymi, Josh, JJ, it's me Chrissy, please can I come in" I begged. I had a bad feeling when they didn't open the door. "please." eventually Josh opened the door. His eyes were watering and he had obviously been crying. I didn't say anything just hugged him. He held me tightly and I could feel his breath on my neck. I didn't say anything, I already got the idea they didn't get through. When JJ and Jaymi joined the hug, and were also crying, my eyes began to water. I hugged all of them in a group, and soon tears were pouring down my face. Jaymi broke the silence by saying "Chrissy, why are you crying, Kyle got through." I whispered quietly back between tears "because I knew how much it meant to you and I can't stand seeing other people cry, it just upsets me" when they calmed down a bit and noticed I was the one crying most now, Jaymi took me in his arms and stroked my hair. "I'm sorry" I whimpered."it's ok, at least now we know we have one fan" he replied and I looked up and smiled. He wiped the tears from my face and hugged me once more before suggesting we all watch a movie. I sat on the couch beside JJ, who was making fun of me for crying. "I don't know what you're saying, you cried too" I grinned. "yeah but I had reason too" "I did too, my three best friends, who are like brothers to me had their dreams taken" I replied. "we're your best friends?" he asked in shock. "some of them yeah" I answered. He pulled me in tight "well your like a little sister to us too" he whispered.

"aww look at the two lovebirds" Josh teased. I felt blood rush to my cheeks with embarrassment, but just smiled it off. I didn't really think of JJ as anything more than a best friend. He was the one I was closest to out of the three, and I could tell him anything, but that's as far as It went. Thoughts began to fill my head, what if he liked me? Or if he wanted more? How would I tell him? Oh no, Josh why did you have to say anything. I sat in silence for a minute and could feel JJ's eyes fixed on me. "I have to go" I said getting up before they could argue. I rushed out slamming the door and went to get the lift to my floor. I got into the lift and waited for the doors to close but before they did I was joined by, of course, JJ. "it's because of me you left isn't it" he said. I didn't respond. "well just to let you know I don't see you that way, I see you the same way you see me, a best friend, or even a younger sister" he explained. I sighed in relief. "Oh, that's good, I didn't want to let you down by not liking you that way" "Chrissy, I don't, but that doesn't mean we can't have some fun with this" he smirked. "I'm sure there's nothing more Josh would like than for him to have been right, if you get me" I nodded. We went back to the boys room and took each others hands before walking in. I apologised for leaving and then sat on JJ's knees on the couch. I lay against his firm stomach and he rapped his arms around my waist. I couldn't help but notice how safe and protected I felt, even though I knew it wasn't real. "so are you two..." Jaymi asked. "they're not, it's put on because of what I said" Josh replied. I gave him a look of dissatisfaction then turned and placed my lips on JJ's. He kissed back, and to be honest it was the best kiss I'd ever had, even if it meant absolutely nothing. I pulled away after a minute or two and looked back to Josh. "maybe I was wrong" he said correcting himself. I couldn't help but laugh at his confusion, and JJ wasn't long joining in either. "ugh, they're messing" Jaymi exclaimed. I looked at JJ and continued to laugh historically. "this time I really have to go" I said between my laughter. JJ hugged me once more before letting me up and I was ignored by Josh and Jaymi. "fine, see you tomorrow" I said closing the door behind me.

A/N this chapter isn't much better than my first one, sorry. But George appears in the next chapter so hopefully that will make it a bit better. And I also know my chapters are pretty short, but I'll try to update at least once a day for the first while and maybe by then the chapters will get longer.
