It had been over two moons by the time Starmber focused on every day again.
The kitting had gone wonderfully.
Now, the two kits were playing together.
One was black, the other was black and white and had wings.
Both kits had icy blue eyes.

The black one was named Shade, while the black and white kit was called Raven.
Shade was atop Raven playfully playing as if he had a thorn sharp injection.
Starmber chuckled laughter a little bit at that.

"Alright kits, time for sleep time!"
Both kits groaned upsetly before walking into the den where kits and mothers or fathers slept.
Starmber purred at the kits before purring himself to sleep.

The next morning was a horror for him.
He had to give the kits up.
They weren't safe, at least Raven wasn't anyways.
Starmber grabbed Raven by the scruff and ran to the lake.

He felt sick doing this.

A shadow was behind him, because he could sense another cat.
Starmber stood over the raging lake before dropping Raven, who jerked awake too late.
He was swept away.
He was gone, forever.

Starmber rushed back to camp, and Shadow Tuft greeted him very anxiously.
"Hey, I know Raven being gone, but where did Shade go?!"
"Shade's missing?!
Shadow Tuft nodded blankly before running off.

This day was horrible for Starmber...
