21 : The History

"Okay then, see you both in my office." Gong Yoo said before disconnecting the call with Jungkook. He had first called Jimin and then Jungkook to inform them to come and visit him in the office.

Jungkook and Jimin both knew that the sudden invitation from their father-in-law was just because the date of the deal they had decided was nearing.

It has already been two months since they got married and the deal between the Kim's, Park's and Jeon's will take place in the next month.

The deal was simply based on a rule, the one who'll treat Gong Yoo's daughter the best, he will merge his business with his that son-in-law, either Jimin or Jungkook.

Jimin and Jungkook both were reminded yet again that they had to beat each other in order to win the deal against each other. They were definitely not hungry for money, it was just a childish competition between the two enemies aka step-brothers.

"Where are you going?" Jimin asked as he saw Chaeyoung combing her hair in front of the mirror. "I'm going to meet Lisa. We have a date." Chaeyoung shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips that made his heart relieved.

Jimin walked towards her and engulfed her in a back hug, tucking his chin on her shoulder, "Call me when you're done. I'll come to receive you." He whispered in her ear, his small fingers making small patterns on her small waist.

"Do you really want to come to pick me up or are you going there to see Lisa?" Her voice held a trace of tease, she obviously knew that this was the only thing with which she can tease him. Jimin understood her intentions very clearly and played along, "How can you read my heart?"

Chaeyoung parted her mouth in shock, she turned around to push him away but was rather pushed in his arms more closely as he quickly sealed her lips in his, taking all her muffled words.

"Pass me the jam." Jungkook said, without diverting his eyes from the file he brought while having his breakfast.

Lisa glared at him and kept the jar of banana jam in front of him with a thud. Even after the loud voice, Jungkook continued to eat his food without looking away even for a second.

After the breakfast, she quickly went up to grab her bag and came down rushing only to find him already sitting in the car. "Wait! Aren't you going to drop me?" Jungkook finally looked at her and raised his brows as he glanced at his wrist watch.

"I have a very important meeting early in the morning, and then I'll be going to meet Jang-in. So, I don't have much time to drop you. Wait, I'll tell the driver to-"

"No need!" Angrily spitting two words at him, she sat in the other car and drove herself away.
Jungkook hooked his lips in a silly smile after her car was out of his sight. With a good mood, he drove to his office.

"Let's not waste much time now! Tell me, what did Mr. Kim said?" Rosé looked at the impatient Lisa and sighed before starting, "Jimin and Jungkook's biological father is same, Mr. Park Jae-Sang. He was married to Jimin's mother first and had Jimin after a year of marriage. But, after Jimin took birth, Jimin's father fell out of love with Jimin's mother. But neither Jimin's mother, or Mr. Park Jae-Sang took the initiative to file a divorce. At that time, Jimin's mother had this primitive thought in mind that a woman and her child is nothing without her husband. She continued to stick to Mr. Park even after his continuous naggings and cheating with other women. Jungkook's mother was one of his dates, whom he didn't told that he was already married. He promised to marry Jungkook's mother and got her pregnant with Jungkook, behind his wife's back. As the time passed, both Jimin and Jungkook's mother got to know that they were cheated by Mr. Park. Later, Jimin's mother broke all the ties with Mr. Park and took away Jimin with her. Jungkook's mother did the same. After a few years, they got to know that Mr. Park got into an accident and died on the spot. Coincidentally, both Jimin and Jungkook went to same school. Neither Jimin's mother nor Jungkook's mother hid anything from their sons. That's what became the most biggest hurdle in their lives. Both of them started to hate each other, thinking that their mothers had to face a lot of suffering because of their biological father." Chaeyoung took a deep breath before glancing at Lisa who was still lost.
