26 : The Pregnancy

Lisa and Jungkook soon arrived at the Kim Empires and found that almost all the people invited was already present, but Jimin and Chaeyoung were still left to arrive. Not much people were present. A few of Gong Yoo's close friends and some news reporters.

Jungkook and Lisa both greeted Gong Yoo after arriving. "So, how's everything going?" Gong Yoo asked, rubbing Jungkook's shoulder with a smile. Both Lisa and Jungkook glanced at each other and quickly looked away, without answering. Gong Yoo smiled looking at them and soon noticed Chaeyoung and Jimin also arrived.

"Why did you both got so late?" Gong Yoo asked after he was greeted by the two. "Jang-in, Chae's health wasn't fine since yesterday. I was insisting her to go to hospital first but she wanted to come here. That's why we got late." Jimin explained, looking at Chaeyoung with a glare who giggled and clinged to his arms.

Jimin smiled too and suddenly tilted his head to glance at Jungkook. He wasn't looking at them, he looked rather absent minded as if he was thinking about something really serious. Just when Jimin was about to retract his gaze, Jungkook looked up and stared back at him.

Leaving the three men alone by themselves, Chaeyoung dragged Lisa in a corner and asked, "What happened? Did you asked Jungkook?" Lisa looked at her and kept silent, lowering her head.

"Lisa-yah! Don't scare me!" Chaeyoung held her arms, looking at her with fear. "Did he-"
"He said he will divorce me." Lisa interrupted her suddenly, looking up in her eyes.

Chaeyoung instantly noticed the brims of her eyes turning red. Her face covered in a sad expression as she pulled Lisa in for a hug. "That brat! I'll kill him!" Chaeyoung was about to barge towards Jungkook when Lisa grabbed her hand and pulled her back.

"Don't do anything for now." Lisa pleaded and turn to look at Jungkook. "Wait, did he said, if he wins the mergence, he will consider about your relationship or if he loses then he'll divorce you? Is it like this?" Chaeyoung asked curiously, getting angrier by each passing second.

"No. He said, whether he wins the deal or not, he will surely divorce me, because I asked for it." Lisa choked, trying not to cry as she glanced at Jungkook who was silently standing in a corner, staring at his shoes with a dark expression.

"How can he say that? Wait, could it be, he felt hurted after you asked to divorce him?" Chaeyoung asked, looking at Jungkook. Lisa too stared at him and whispered, "I don't know..."

"Ladies and gentlemen. Today we are here because I wanted to announce the next CEO of Kim Empires. Today I will be merging my company with one of my son-in-laws'." Gong Yoo announced with a broad smile.

Lisa, Jungkook, Jimin and Chaeyoung stood beneath the stage, looking up at him with no excitement.

Both Jimin and Jungkook have waited for this day since so long. Now that they're here, almost at the peak to reach their desires, they had no happiness in their hearts. Instead, they were feeling they felt a stone in their hearts.

Chaeyoung glanced at the three faces with a dazed expression. 'If Jungkook wins the deal, could it be that Jimin will go back on his words and will not try to talk to Jungkook?' She stared at Jimin who didn't noticed her as he was looking at Gong Yoo.

Then she looked at Jungkook and Lisa, 'If Jimin wins the deal, will Jungkook really divorce Lisa? What if they really parts away?' thinking in her mind, she fiddled with her fingers.

"So, the new CEO of Kim Empires will be-"

"Chaeyoung!" Jimin screamed suddenly, interrupting Gong Yoo's speech as he noticed Chaeyoung fainting on the floor.
