All Night

Part 11

Tyler and I headed back to the group after getting some snacks and drinks at the nearby convenience store since this arcade didn't sell any food or drinks. We came back to see Aiden covered in a pile of tickets. "I think this is enough for all of us to split and get prizes" Taylor said. "I'm getting all of Aidens share though since I won DDR" Ashlyn stated. "All of it?!" Aiden questioned the ginger. I noticed that Logan had suddenly looked a little scared. I looked over and saw Barron, Logan's bully. I nudged Tyler's arm and motioned to Barron. Tyler looked over and frowned. "Well that's annoying, what's he doing here?" Tyler questioned aloud. "Who?" Taylor looked up and saw him. "Oh... it's Barron" she looked very angry. Honestly, same. I wanted to punch this dude in the face. Taylor gathered up all the tickets as Aiden covered Ben's face and Logan got up. "I doubt he'll do anything, that coward hasn't messed with Logan since he's scared I'll 'tattle' on him to the coach" Tyler crossed his arms. "Yeah but it's still kinda of awkward isn't it?" Taylor asked. "We can just get our prizes and spend the rest of the day at Ashlyn's" I suggested. Logan just watched Barron. "No" Logan suddenly spoke up. "I think the guy with the blue hat isn't apart of his friend group, I've seen him a few times with Barron before but I think Barron just replaced me with him" Logan explained. "I think Barron is making him do his work, he used to have me do the same thing when he invited me out" Logan continued. Logan continued to explain to us how manipulative Barron was. "I'm not sure what your plan is but you're wanting to help that guy right?" Tyler asked the other boy. "I want to at least warn him" Logan answered. "We'll do what you gotta do, we'll be here to help if you need it" Tyler said as Ben moved Aidens hands out of his face. "Right, just let me know and I'll sock him right in the face" I grinned. "Have you ever actually been in a fight?" Tyler looked at me. "I don't think you want me to answer that question" I looked back up at him. "Well as long as you didn't kill her" he stated. "Who said it was a 'her'?" I questioned. He just stared. "You'll tell me about this later" he said as we followed behind Logan leaving the building. We hid behind the wall as Logan approached Barron. We listened closely as the two once again encountered each other. Ben looked mad. It was clear as to why and I'm sure he's just worried about Logan just like the rest of us. However to keep him from totally losing it, he put his earbuds in. "Is it okay if I listen with you?" Taylor asked Ben. He looked at her before handing over one of the earbuds. I was sure that Logan was nervous but I knew that he would be able to overcome this obstacle. Logan walked up to the boy with the blue cap. "I'm Logan" he held his hand out. The other boy grabbed Logan's hand. "I'm Noah" the boy responded. Logan then began telling Noah about how Barron manipulates people into doing his work and what happens if you don't or if you don't do well on it or if you do your own work before his. I felt bad for Logan, he went through a lot because of Barron and it just wasn't right. "Hey! Just what do you think you're doing?" Barron angrily asked. Logan continued to talk to Noah instead of listening to Barron. That is until Barron came up to him and started jabbing Logan's head with his finger. "Who do you think you are? Stop interfering" Barron continued to poke. "You're just a useless loser whose parents didn't even want you" Barron stated. That's where I felt like it was too much. I was about to go and beat the crap out of Barron but Tyler stopped me. Logan smacked Barron's hand away and began going on about how Barron was the one that useless. Barron looked mad and grabbed Logan  by the hair. Logan just looked at him as he held onto Barron's wrist. Logan swept his leg underneath Barron and Barron fell on his stomach on the ground. Logan held one of Barron's arms behind his back and harshly pushed Barron's head into the concrete. The street lamp above them flickered. "I think it'd be wise for you to start caring" Logan stated, referring to how Barron said he didn't care what Logan was saying before he grabbed Logan's hair. Logan had this look on his face. It was a scary look and it didn't feel right to see it on Logan's features. I certainly was off put by it. That's when I suddenly got this feeling. It was like my gut was telling me something. I looked down and near Logan was his shadow, but it had facial features. "Tyler something's wrong" I said not taking my eyes away from the sight. "What are you talking about?" He questioned. "His shadow" I muttered. Tyler looked over my shoulder and saw what I meant. "We have to get him out of there" the boy looked at the others. I nodded. We all walked out minus Taylor and Ben since we were trying to keep him shielded away from it. "Okay Logan let's go" Tyler crossed his arms. Logan looked up at us. "You did what you came to do, it's time to go home" I walked over and reached out to him. "Don't worry I'll watch him" I harshly placed my foot on Barron's back as Logan grabbed my hand and I helped him up. I looked at Noah as Logan walked to the others. "You should go home too" I said. Barron tried to get up as I removed my foot. As he got to his hands and knees, I kicked him in the stomach. "The only one here who isn't wanted is you" I spat and walked away.
