Mal's POV

The next few weeks were slow and dragged on forever. I called Morgana every day, and she would tell me about her roommate Erica and how nothing was going on campus.

I'd tell her about practice, and she watched all my games on TV. I scored in every game she watched. First time I scored and knew she was watching, I did the double peace signs for 22, and the second time I did the heart with my hands like Morgana did against England.

Finally it was May 2nd, the day she officially got out of college.

"So I told Erica that I don't know if I'll be back. But she's from Chicago, so she'll be there all summer like I will."

"Don't forget about those CONCACAF championship games." I told her.

"True."

"We should be hearing about them soon."

"Yep."

"So did you send your stuff back home yet?" I asked.

"I did. I kept a bunch fo stuff that I'd need for Chicago but other than that everything is on it's way home."

"Are you coming right here or going home first?"

"I'm flying out tonight hopefully if the weather holds out." She said. "I also sent a box of stuff to your house so if that gets there before I do I'm sorry."

"It's fine." I laughed.

"Well I know what I'm most excited for."

"What?"

"Tomorrow night." I could basically hear the smirk on her face.

It's gonna be the night of your life. You just wait." I smiled.

"Alright. I have a few last things to take care of before I leave. I'll text you later. Bye."

"See you later."

We hung up, and I decided there was another call I had to make.

----------

"Miss Mallory Pugh! It's always a pleasure to see you." Said Michelle Lomnicki, the GM of the Red Stars.

"How are you Ms Lomnicki?" I asked politely.

I had put my hair in loose curls, and dressed up nice for this meeting. It was for sure the most important one I've had.

"I'm doing wel. How are you?"

"I'm fine." I said. I took a deep breath. "I just have one thing to talk to you about."

"Of course."

"I just wanted to tell you that my friend and national team teammate Morgana LaRue is thinking about not returning tio college, because she just doesn't enjoy college life." I started.

"I heard about that." She said.

"And I heard a few teams have interest in her, like Racing Louisville, Orlando Pride and Washington Spirit. And I heard that San Diego Wave gave her an offer."

"Did they really?"

"Yeah. She only has interest in playing for Washington Spirit or here. because this has been her favorite team for a while. And I don't know how the Spirit would even be able to take her, they have lots of good forwards already." I said.

"So you think we should give her an offer?"

"That is what I'm saying, yes."

"I think that's a great idea. I knew someone would say it."

"And as a forward for this team, I feel like we could use her. It would make us a championship team." I said. "Just watch her play for the national team."

"No, I for sure agree. I'll see what I can do. But until we give an offer or she signs with someone else, you don't say anything about this conversation. Please."

"I promise you can trust me."

"We'll see what we can do. Thanks for the suggestion, Mal."

----------

Morgana's POV

I flew into Chicago  in the early morning of May 3rd, and Mal picked me up from the airport.

The reuniting of us was long hugs and screaming.

We drove back to her house, and she said that she off training that day, so we walked around the city.

At about 6:00, she took me to the Red Stars' office.

"Why are we here? I thought we were going to the field to practice." I asked.

"Just have to take care of something real quick. Come on." She got out of the car, and I followed her inside.

She said hi to a few people as we walked through the hallways and stuff, then we walked into a big room with a table with about 8 seats, and on one side of the table there was 3 people, who were the GM, head coach, and assistant coach. Behind them was a girl who I assumed was the social media admin because of her camera and techlology stuff.

When I sat down, they started talking to me about how I was a great player and how I'm talened and stuff.

"So that's why we would like to offer you this contract for the rest of the season. We think you would be a great addition to this team. So this contract is $100,000 to finish the season with us. If you like it here, we can extend at any point." Said the GM, Michelle Lomnicki.

I looked down at the contract and read everything on it. There was no weird loopholes or anything, I took a law class when trying to figure out my major.

I looked at the faces of the coaches, the GM, and then at Mal next to me.

I thought for a minute, thought about the conversation Mal and I had on the beach about college and life going forward.

I twirled the pen between my fingers nervously as I stared down at the contract.

So that's it for this one!! But don't worry....there will be a sequel. It's already in the works.

Will Morgana sign the contract or no? Will she realize she wants to stay in college or will she decide to play with Mal and the Red Stars?

Thanks for reading the whole story! I promise the sequel will be out soon. I'm so excited for it honestly. But my updates on the sequel will be on my Ashley Sanchez story and also I will post it on my announcements so follow me if you haven't already! I have so many more woso ideas and I can't wait to actually get past the first 3 chapters of some of them. Thanks for everything and all of your support! I hope you enjoyed, because I know I really enjoyed writing this. Thanks all :)
