My eyes fluttered open as I looked around. Where am I? I wondered. I wasn't anywhere I recognized. Wherever I was, it was deserted and looked like a prairie. No trees were present and I was all alone. I continued to look around and when I tried to move, my feet felt like they were glued to the ground. I then felt a slight breeze blowing and it almost felt comfortable. If only I wasn't alone in a desolate place it would be enjoyable. As I continued to glance around I realized that there was a shadow falling upon the strange land. I looked around wildly trying to find anyone. I called out: "Is anyone there?"

There was no response and then a chill went down my spine as I noticed that there was a chill in the air. No, this can't be. If it starts to storm, I'm dead. I thought as I desperately tried to run. My mind began to spin with confusion as the air turned weird. Once again a chill went down my spine as I looked up at the sky and saw greenish clouds above me. No! I'm dead! This is impossible. This is it. I'm sorry Kirstin, I have tried to move on without you but now it seems like I'm going to be dead as well. Suddenly lightning lit up the sky and a split second later thunder exploded across the horizon sending a chill down my spine. Soon large drops of water began to fall upon the dry, desolate land. Suddenly I heard a cry for help and I recognized the voice. It was Kirstin! "Kirstin! Where are you?"

I looked around wildly for my friend that was more like a mother to me. Where could she be? I know that was her! Was she coming to watch my death? Why can't I hear Mitch and Scott? Jessica killed them as well so where are they? Tears began to fall from my eyes as I remembered watching Kirstin get killed and hearing the deaths of Scott and Mitch. The cry of agony from Scott and the split second later cry of death from Mitch echoed in my head as the tears flowed like a mighty river. Then the cry of death from Scott rang in my ears as it made this situation even worse. I was drawn out of my thoughts by something hard hitting my shoulder. I cried in pain as more and more hard pieces of ice fell on me. I collapsed to the ground in pain and exhaustion then I noticed that Kirstin was beneath me. I immediately covered her body with my body. I thought she was dead? I watched Jessica stab her side. How was she underneath me and alive? Her brown eyes were filled with love and then they filled with terror as she saw how battered my body was. Her face had the look of a mother that has to watch her child go through intense pain. The hail continued to pound my back as I looked into Kirstin's love filled eyes. She mouthed: "I love you, Kailyn. I will never stop loving you."

I smiled weakly then painfully looked up when I heard a loud roaring noise. Surely there couldn't be a railroad around here. My brown eyes were unfocused and weak with pain. Then I saw through my narrowed brown eyes, a tornado. I let out a cry for help, because I knew that there was no way that I could protect Kirstin from the spinning cloud of death. Without any warning, I was pulled off of Kirstin and flung away. So quick that Kirstin couldn't grab onto me to keep me there. She went to stand up as I weakly opened my eyes after laying there unmoving for several seconds. I watched with horror as the tornado went right over Kirstin and a cry of pain and death rose into the air. Kirstin! I cried as I tried to get up to run over to her. Even though I tried with the remaining strength I had, I was too weak to push myself to my feet. "Kirstin!" I cried weakly as I collapsed back onto the ground. I was now laying on my side, breathing heavily then it started to slow. The tornado dissipated and the sky cleared. I then attempted again to stand up and this time I could at least crawl over to her motionless body. Hope flared in me as I saw the very faint rise and fall of her chest. "Kirstin, are you alive?" I asked her as I dragged myself closer. My side was bleeding from where I had dragged myself to her body. She lifted her head weakly and smiled at me. "You're alive, Kailyn!" she said weakly as she hugged me. I hugged her back but was gentler than she was because I didn't want to hurt her. "Kirstin, how are you alive? The tornado went right over you." I cried as I collapsed into her arms. She smiled at me with love and admiration as I cried even more into her. Kirstin just held me close then she breathed: "I love you, Kailyn. Remember that I will always be with you." I was confused then I felt her hand move to my chest and I knew that she meant that she would always be with me in my heart. Then her body went limp and I cried out: "Kirstin! Don't go please, I can't live without you."

She didn't move or anything and my heart dropped as I saw that her sides were not moving and I knew that she was dead.

"Kirstin, why did you have to go?" I cried to no one because I was all alone with the limp body of Kirstin. I laid my head on her as I cried. Then suddenly everything went black.
