Head hung low, the young idol walked down the hallway, a bit gloomy. It was rare that she didn't have her famous smile on, a bit strange even. As she walked slowly, locating herself to the first class of the day, her friend, Aoi, approached her.
"Good morning Maizono-san! Awe you seem down today, what's up?"
As she realised someone was talking to her, she slightly smiled, covering up what she was feeling. Guilt twisted in her stomach, as she lied to her own friend.
"Good morning Asahina-san!! Nothing's wrong, just didn't get much sleep"
"Oh.. okay.. well see ya later!"
The brunette ran off, leaving Sayaka alone with her thoughts. There was nothing wrong so why did it feel like something sharp had stabbed her. She calmly walked off, ignoring the doubt that was building up.

Kyoko couldn't even look into the idol's sapphire eyes, she couldn't even glance her way. She'd been thinking non stop about Sayaka and she had no idea what she could do with all these feelings that had been piling up. If only she could simply open herself up to someone else, though it would be a disappointment to the Kirigiri name.
Of course these things had been going through her mind as she quietly held her neutral yet reserved face, as if she were completely focused on the task.
On the other hand, Sayaka couldn't help but look at the detective, hoping to get some sort of response. She kept glancing at the lavender haired girl, unable to do much else. It was clear, this was getting in the way of both of their lives.
That fateful lesson was basically torture, as the two sat apart, forced to be separated into different worlds.

I feel so.. guilty. Why can't I just open up.. I talk to people all the time..right? Human communication is a basic skill.
Kyoko kept telling herself, roaming down the halls, disconnected from the real world. Suddenly, she stopped walking as she once again heard the voice of an angel from across the hallway. It was Sayaka Maizono, talking to one of the boys.
"So I was hoping if we could maybe go out together sometime..?"
The detective seemed so focussed on the words being spoken, it's as if they were the only things she could hear. Her heart beat faster, anticipating the answer from the blue haired girl herself.
"Of course! Why don't we go to the movies?"
She heard something shatter.
"S-sure..! Free on Friday?"
"Mhm! It's a date!" The idol enthusiastically responded, as Kyoko heard the sound of delightment in her voice. Kyoko could already picture it, Sayaka giggling along with some random guy she just met, practically head over heels for someone who isn't meant to be with her.
The detective's eyes widened.
Now it was all coming to her, the feeling of regret.
