Hoseok glances between Ami and Suga, a leg bouncing.

"Ask anything," Ami presses eagerly, then hesitates.

How much should they explain? She's okay telling him about herself, her history and her abilities, but what about the Guardian's? Should they tell him she's there to save him from some unknown, but very real threat? As much as she wants to tell him everything, his survival is still the most important thing. Would knowing his life is in danger help keep him safe or put him in more danger?

She glances at Suga questioningly, hoping he might have some ideas. He shrugs, nodding furtively. Ami sighs.

"How long has hyung known?"

She turns back to Hoseok, nearly laughing. "That's the first thing y - "

"At the Fake Love music video shoot," Suga interjects. "When she saved me from that scaffolding. But I've known about her, uh... kind my whole life."

"Daebak."

"Kind?"

Suga nods, gesturing for Ami to continue. She rolls her eyes and takes a deep breath, not sure how to start.

"Okay, well, I wouldn't call us a kind, but," she shoots Suga an annoyed look. Hoseok leans forward in his seat, eyes practically boring into her own. She clears her throat.

"It is hereditary, passed down through the females in my family since, well, I don't really know when. But there are diaries written by a distant grandmother from the early Joseon era. She was the Emperor's niece. We call her the Great Mother."

"Great Mother," Hoseok asks, one eyebrow raised. Ami nods, chuckling at the family joke. Hoseok shakes his head. "So wait, does that mean your dongsaeng, that Jessica, can... that she's..."

He trails off, gesturing at her body.

"No, Abba isn't my biological father," she says, frowning until his eyes widen dramatically. "And I'm called an Unbreakable. Nothing can hurt me, or even move me really, without my consent."

A disbelieving, almost pitying frown has grown on Hoseok's face.

"You don't believe me?"

Hoseok snorts, then clears his throat.

"Mianhae, it's just..." he trails off, shooting Suga a questioning look. "I mean, unbreakable? And how do you know about this Great Mother if - "

"You literally just saw me survive an explosion."

He shakes his head. "I know, but you said you got out before - mwo?"

He falls back in his seat, arms raised across his chest defensively. Ami stands in front of him, one arm sticking straight out at a ninety-degree angle from her shoulder.

"Try it."

"Eh?"

He glances behind her at Suga, but Ami doesn't look away.

"Climb on my arm. Here."

She drops to her knees and restiffens every muscle in her body. An awkward smile twitches across his face, but he doesn't move.

"Wae? What will that prove?"

"Do you agree I shouldn't be able to hold your weight with one arm sitting at this angle?" He nods silently. "So, when you jump on my arm and it doesn't move, there's your proof."

A stupid, weirldy adorable yet still disbelieving smile spreads across his face. Ami sighs and turns to Suga.

"Servant?"
