13 • weekend at tony's (2)

SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2021
TONY'S HOUSE
SENIOR YEAR

The sun was rising slowly that morning. It was around 5:55 in the morning when Steve decided to go for a run. It was very barely light out, the sun was in the very beginning stages of rising. Later, after Steve had run his daily 5K, he was met by Natasha in the kitchen.

"Hi Nat."

"Hi Steve."

There was a pause.

"So, really nice out huh? Do you think it will still be like this in a few weeks. I never want it to end."

"Haha. Maybe Steve. I think we are all due for a beach trip sometime soon."

"What about today Tash!! Everyone has their suits from last night. Its also 89 degrees soo." Natasha nodded her head. She knew Tony would be along, always up for a game of beach volleyball. It was still early. Natasha looked at the clock. 7:16. She gave Steve a pat on the back as she walked up to Pepper's room to get a bag.

Later on, very slowly, everyone started to wake up. At that point, the waffles were cold, and eggs were spoiled. They decided to just have a brunch down by the beach as everyone woke up far too late. Tony drove himself and Pepper, Maria joined them. Sam, Bucky, Wanda, and Natasha all went together. Steve was going to walk down because he wanted to spend as much time as he could in the beautiful weather.

The beach wasn't that far, maybe a mile or two. Tony, having a pass for the private side, took all his guests over to a place they could set up, while he waited for Steve, who arrived shortly after. For a while, all the girls just lay there, while most of the boys snickered at their tactics. It was until Sam ran over, hovering a bucket of water in between Natasha and Wanda, which would indefinitely mean a war between them. He tipped it over and bolted for his life as the two girls popped their heads up.

"Sam." Natasha threatened him, while Steve laughed.

A little while later, Bruce and Carol came, carrying spike ball, which they would play for a while.

Natasha, Steve and Wanda decided to take a walk down the shore, that was until Steve ran into someone he knew.

"Peggy!" He screeched, wrapping the girl in a hug. Peggy was a long- time family friend of the Rogers, and ever since they had moved, he hadn't seen her.

"Hey Rogers!" She smiled at the two girls standing next to him when she pulled away.

"Oh right. So Peggy, this is Wanda."

"Ah yes, Buckys girl. Nice to meet you." She shook her hand and smiled.

"And Peggy, this is Natasha."

"Oh Natasha! I have heard so much about you. You have such beautiful eyes by the way, pleasure to meet you!" Peggy smiled again, and shook her hand. She looked behind her, only to see Steves hand around her waist. Did it make her jealous? Maybe the slightest bit. Did it make her relize Steve was okay after the breakup? Yes. That hurt a bit for Natasha. Seeing as it was only a few weeks. She was almost completely over it too.

"So Peggy, what brings you around here?" Wanda said suddenly in a calm tone.

"Well, after my parents pulled me away from here I went to live in Europe and study abroad for a year. The other 3 years i spent traveling in places like Canada, France, and Mexico. Definitely a fun experience. Anywho, my parents finally decided after many years of having to move we would settle down here again. I'm happy to be back, I missed this place so much. The good news is, I'll be attending your school, as I am moving closer to it and just waiting for our new home to finish construction." Steve looked very cheery at the fact that she was moving back. Him and Peggy were very close before she had moved away.

"Oh and Steve, Sharon and Jack are moving back with us too." Sharon, who was Peggy's cousin, had lived with them since her parents tragically died in a car crash. At this point, she calls the Carter's her mom and dad, because she never really had any memories with her real ones. Jack, who was a year below Steve and Peggy, would be also joining in the fun. Sharon was a senior like the other kids, making a good fit for them to join the group.

As the sun began to set, Tony wrapped up everyones things and loaded them up. They drove away shortly after, getting ice cream on their ways home.
